L'oreal Infallible More Than Concealer | Is it as good as it says?

Good affordable concealers are hard to come by, what's more, it's waterproof, it's full coverage and it's lightweight. The L'oreal Infallible Concealer comes in 25 shades that help brighten, correct and highlight. It also claims to cover blemishes, dark circles and uneven skin tone which I've put to the test.
Packaging
Containing 28 grams of products, the infallible concealer come is a thicker tube compared to the NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop Concealer with a large doe foe applicator that claims to give your precise control, there is a slight scent, initially a little floral and then that standard manufactured smell that does not linger.

Shade and formula
The shade range is impressive for L'oreal with 25 shades, I picked up the shade 322 ivory to highlight which has a yellow undertone and is the third lightest shade in from the range. The concealer is thick therefore apply and blend and reapply if more coverage is needed. It does dry down darker compared to what comes out the tube and has a natural matte finish. I picked mine up from Asos.

Application
It claims to be blendable and it is, but with more of a little back and forth action so everything is seamless and I prefer using a beauty blender to do this. I do lightly set this with powder but you can get away with this if you have dry skin.

Coverage
The concealer has incredible coverage even better than the Makeup Revolution Define & Conceal, with one swipe of product but I still have a slight shadow showing through therefore go in with another dot of concealer. It does cover blemishes well if you tap the product on with your fingertips or brush. It also covers uneven skin tone but it can be a little drying especially if you have a matte base or drier skin. I have this crease under my eye and although it does not enhance it does settle so I do press this in throughout the day.

Longevity
Claimed to last for 24 hours, the maximum time I have worn it is 12 and I still have a smooth undereye area but has faded on the areas where it meets my base. No top-up is needed throughout the day and does not further sink into my fine lines or creases.

Overall
Having combination skin, being dry and oily on my t-zone, the concealer does enhance any dry patches that you may have. For concealing dark circles, this full-coverage concealer is perfect especially when I go in with more product to cover shadows.  I would say this concealer is not suitable for people who have dry under eyes and is not a product that I would use to contour as it takes time blending in. With full coverage concealers always remember less is more. Would I repurchase? Yes but only for highlighting and covering dark circles.

Have you tried this?

Until next time!

  1. This sounds like it has been quite successful for you. I had a look at in store a few weeks ago and did consider trying it, however I am trying so desperately to finish several concealers I have on the go. I have found the Glossier Stretch Concealer to work best under my eyes so far.

  3. You are totally right about the coverage on this! I literally take the teeniest dab and it will be enough for my face. I need to go one shade up next time, but I haven't tried using them for highlight/contouring like I've seen others do. I would buy it again.
