These brushes are absolutely stunning, I can sit and stare at them all day. I received the Spectrum Collection Tapered Powder Brush in my February Birchbox, which I use to set my undereye concealer. It has extremely soft bristles which are suitable for my sensitive skin and does really good job of evenly distributing the powder under my eyes. I had some Birchbox points to spend before they expire and decided on this beautiful set.
When they arrived, I was really impressed with the quality it is just as soft and gentle as the tapered one that I already own and contains a range of face, eye and lip brushes.
Starting with the 'A' range, A is for Application, which contains a range of brushes.
- A01 Large Domed Powder
- A05 - Angled Brush
- A06 - Large Fluffy Shader
- A15 - Lip Liner
- A17 -Precision Angled Brow
- A19- Fine Detailer
Out of the 'A' selections, I use A01 - Large Domed Powder to set my overall make-up, A05 - to lightly bronze my face and to apply my illuminating powder, A06 - as a larger concealer brush, A15 & A19 as a detailer brush to apply eyeshadow. And A17 is now my go to Eyebrow brush to apply my brow pomade.
The B range is for Blending, which contains:
- BO1 - Flat Top Buffer
- B03 - Baby Buffer
- B04 - Small Angled Blender
- B06 -Tall Tapered Blender
From the 'B' selection, I use B01 - Flat Top Buffer as a foundation brush, it buffs into your skin smoothly and leaves no lines, I use B03- Baby Buffer to set my eye primer and use it as a overall eyebase applicator, B04 - Small Angled Blender is use to lightly blend out smokey looks and B06 is used to apply transitional colours, which builds the product up nicely.
If you are looking for a great affordable vegan and cruelty free brush line, these are the one. They are much softer than the Real Techniques line, much more gentle on the skin and works well with all my make-up. It is extremely easy to clean and I haven't had any bleeding from the colours. My favourite is the B01 - Flat Top Buffer, A01 - Large Domed Powder, B06 - Tall Tapered Blender and B03-Baby Buffer. You can not go wrong with this 10 Piece Essential Set, I looked on the Spectrum Collections website and they have an amazing Siren Collection which is very iridescent, right now I am happy to have this collection, it's going to be a while before I buy any more make-up brushes.
Have you heard of Spectrum Brushes? Until next time!
