COLOURPOP HAUL, REVIEW & GIVEAWAY

Getting into the nits and grits of my recent US HAUL, today I'm sharing my Colourpop goodies. What you see here is 2 orders due to restocks and new launches.

SHE PALETTE | $16

This is part of the Karrueche X Colourpop Fem Rosa collab, I only picked up the eyeshadow palette since I have way too many liquid lipsticks and I'm a bit over the liquid lipstick phase. This palette contains 12 shades with metallic, satin and matte finishes in beautiful mauvey tones. Personally, I love eyeshadow palette over single shadows due to convenience. The shades are called;

- Ladylike: metallic soft champagne
- Babe: satin light peach pink
- Dainty: metallic pinky taupe
- Chick: metallic subtle gold
- Mademoiselle: metallic rose gold
- Gal: metallic red with copper duochrome
- Empress: metallic mid-tone pink plum
- Filly: metallic rusty orange
- Dear: matte warm rose
- Missy: matte deep burgundy
- Damsel: matte smokey violet
- Duchess: matte dusty coral

The metallic shades are super smooth and the satin finishes are very buttery and easy to blend. The matte shadows have a little kick up when you dab your brush into the shadow but it blends really well on the eyes. The overall palette is very pink and purple and I always use Damsel to deepen my crease. The only shade that is missing is a matte cream shade to set your eyeshadow primer but I just go into my other palettes or use a setting powder instead. This is a beautiful palette to have especially if you love your purple tones like me. I did pick up an extra palette for you guys so scroll below to enter my giveaway.

YES PLEASE PALETTE | $16

The first eyeshadow palette that Colourpop launched and it still gets sold out and restocked constantly, this is a staple palette for anyone who wants to try out the Colourpop shadows, the only colour that I would probably replace will be the yellow (Mischief) - since it does not that good on my skin tone. The palette contains matte and shimmer shadows and names as follows;

- Full-Zip: matte warm ivory
- Big Cocktails: matte orange
- Champs: matte pale peachy nude
- Bling: metallic rust
- Louie: metallic duochrome red with a gold flip
- Butter Cake: metallic pale yellow gold
- Spoiled: matte brick red Gno: matte burnt orange
- Mischief: matte warm yellow
- Note to Self: matte warm caramel
- Chauffeur: metallic duochrome bright orange with a gold flip
- French Kiss: matte deep red-brown

The shadows are very consistent and like the SHE palette some of the matte shades have kick-up but it is very minimal so you won't have fall-out. Note to Self is the perfect transitional colour that I use with all the shadows if you like your warm tones you need this palette.

PRESSED POWDERS |  $8

In one of my previous posts, I mentioned that I really enjoyed their pressed powders. I picked up Afternoon Delight, Freak Like Me and Boy Next Door. I choose to have them all in a compact form since it's easier to store for me but if you wish to just purchase the pan it is $7. There is magnetic within the compact to hold the pans down so I find that they stack together nicely. There's a little hole in the back where you can depot them and it has a large mirror which is really handy. Because the names are on the back of the pan, I removed the sticker from the boxes and stuck them onto the compact.

Afternoon Delight is a beautiful warm golden bronzer which I use to warm up my complexion and even sometimes use it as an eyeshadow. It has a lovely matte finish and blends beautifully.

Freak Like Me is a powder highlighter and is described as a champagne peach. In the compact it looks way darker than when it goes on your face so I'm a little put off by it, there is a little shimmer but it is not chunky at all. It does show up on my skin beautifully but if you have texture on your skin it might enhance it a little bit since I have a little spot on my cheekbones right now and it's all I can focus on haha.

Boy Next Door is a light warm gold. This is absolutely stunning on my skin tone. The shimmer is definitely bigger and chunkier and it will enhance your imperfections. Because this is a lighter shade compared to Freak Like Me I use this one way more.

NO FILTER CONCEALER | $6

The no filter concealer was groundbreaking when they first announced they were launching liquid products - it marks that they are probably going into the liquid products such as foundation but also skincare. I picked up two shades - Light Neutral 15 and Medium Beige 30. Light Neutral is recommended for light skin tones, it has a peach undertone but on me, it runs more pink than peach. And Medium Beige is for medium skin tones and it also has peach undertones. The applicator two flat sides and is very bendy - it's easy to apply the concealer and I love the applicator.
One of the first things I noticed when I used these is they instantly oxides on the skin so it will look different/darker than in the tube. I also have to mention because you use the applicator to apply the product I do have swirls in the concealer where it is darker almost looking like the product is separating in the tube - but it's just when the concealer reacts with the air.  As you can see Medium Beige is way too dark but I have tried to use this to cover blemishes before my foundation.
The concealer claims to have blurring pigments, creaseless and a matte finish. It does have a matte finish but I don't think it helps blur my skin. The coverage is okay - light to medium. It does nothing for my under eyes and if you have fines lines under your eyes, it sinks into those creases and enhances those. It does help brighten my under eyes a bit but the coverage is just not there. I'll go in twice with the NFC and I'll still have to reach for my Ardere Cosmetics Flawless Concealer (maybe my dark circles are really that bad haha). Do I think you need this concealer? No.

BROW PENCIL & LIPPIE STIX | $5

I reordered my current favourite brow pencil so if you've seen it all over my Instagram you are probably sick of me talking about it, it just makes filling my non-existent brow so much easier. I like the colour Bangin Brunette on me and for $5 I recommend it. I also received a mini Lippie Stix for free called Chateau since my order to 2+ weeks to dispatch. I love their lippie stix and Chateau is discontinued but it has a matte finish and is a beautiful wine red colour.
That is all for this haul, I hope you found it helpful!

Until next time!
