THE LAZY YET PAMPERING ROUTINE

You 'all know that I am crazy obsessed with skincare and we all have those days where we just need to be lazy but still treat our skin. (I'm thinking Friday nights and the dreaded Sunday before we had back to work on a Monday.) These are the products I have been currently using for this regime.

Obviously, cleansing is a really important factor and I always at least double cleanse my skin with the amount of makeup I wear - It's difficult to achieve that natural no make-up look without using a million products ( I exaggerate!).

First things first always put on lip balm, whenever you mask it somehow makes your lips extra dry (like you lips know you are not paying them enough attention) for this I use the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Lip Protectant and in extreme cases, I use the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream since it's thicker.

For a very fun face mask, I have been using the NIA (Not Into Aging) Sunday Detox* which is a fascinating whipped clay peel off mask. It's basically in one of those shaving foam bottles which you shake up and pump out. This is very fun to apply and I apply a very generous layer and wait for it to do its job and peel off. This whipped clay mask helps draw out impurities and reduce the appearance of blackheads. If you are planning a girly night this would be really fun to use. Notes: keep away from your brows and hairline!

Missing out toner is a no-no for me but to replace that option I always use my Mario Badescu Facial Spray which is infused with aloe, herbs and rosewater. This is so refreshing on the skin and instantly gives you that hydration. Mine is on its last legs and I need a replacement. It's also Cruelty-Free and Paraben Free. I need to check out more from the Mario Badescu line.

I can never avoid eye cream and I am currently testing out the Argireline Solution 10% which is a serum from The Ordinary, It helps reduce fine lines and I got this for Christmas. It feels like water and I tap this around my eyes. I will update you later how I get on with this and if I see any changes. For Eye cream I have actually been using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Eye Awakening Gel Cream - I love the Hydro-Boost water gel for my face and decided to incorporate this in when it launched. This gives me an instant shot of hydration and doesn't mess my makeup either. It's very refreshing but I it doesn't do anything for antiaging.

Lastly, I do love my face creams but why not mask instead? I love using a sleeping mask sometimes it can be quite messy but if you're making while you're sleeping you're accomplishing two jobs in one. One of my favourite sleeping masks is from The Body Shop. It's part of the Vitamin E range and smells wonderful. It almost has that bouncy jelly texture and it's super affordable, mine has lasted me ages since you only need a small amount. My skin does feel more hydrated after I use this, you can use this as a quick mask before you apply your makeup as well.

That is all for my lazy and pampering skin care routine. Do you have any recommendations?

I hope you've enjoyed this post!

Until next time!
