Back to the tinted lash primer, it sports a brown colour and can be worn alone as a brown mascara for a casual look. The brush wand is really easy to work with and grabs onto every eyelash, but instantly makes me pre-curled eyelashes droop, this is due to the wet formula - having Asian eyelashes, I really don't need to say more, nothing works. The application brush is also slightly smaller than the They're Real application brush and really helps separate and define my eyelashes.

Did it lengthen or volumise? It definitely did give me a little length but nothing that my current mascara won't do. Applying the They're Real mascara on top, it became clumpy you can describe it as volumising, but this doesn't make me flock to the shops to buy it - not a fan of the spider legs look.
My overall verdict: 'It's me, not you.' Sorry Benefit, you didn't make it. I find it so difficult to get mascaras to hold my curls and lengthen, I find the formula difficult to work with, and curling your eyelashes after you put mascara on can really break your lashes. Maybe I should let the mascara dry out a bit? We'll see.
Did you pick up Elle's November issue?
Until next time!

I do like the idea of Tinted instead of the white primers for mascaras!! I will keep in mine when I try these mascara/primer by Benefit!

I love Benefit's They're Real Mascara because it's really separating, but I too can't seem to find a mascara that doesn't weigh down my lashes. I like the idea of a tinted lash primer, but they just don't seem to do anything for my lashes. Thanks for the review!

I meant to pick this up because the sample size is perfect for trying, without spending too much money, I'm not a huge fan of the mascara so probably won't buy the primer. Great review, thanks! xx

These mascaras look great to put in your purse for in time of need.

That's a shame it didn't work as expected for you - at least you didn't waste a purchase as it came with the magazine!

Love the benefit bad gal Lash and roller Lash mascaras but not sure I am feeling the idea of this primer.... a Lash can only hold so much product on it right? It would be an expensiveet down if you got the primer home and hated it. Thanks for the review!xx

I got the benefit primer yesterday on this month's birchbox, haven't tried it yet but I am not holding my breath. I hate the "They're Real" mascara, way too thick and so Darn hard to remove so... if the primer is anything like it...

This is such a shame, I would definitely prefer to just layer up my mascara

I just got gifted this eyelash primer in a Sephora gift with purchase, was a little bit skeptical... I don't understand the point of a colored mascara primer? If one doesn't see it then it might as well be transparent, in my opinion. Thank you for a lovely, honest review!
