GOING THROUGH MY EMPTIES #3

I think every blogger and YouTuber like collecting their trash and that's me included - it means we finally finish a product and can also move onto the next. I find these posts really informative especially if it's products that are you wanting to try out. My skin type is oily/combination skin for your reference.

Starting with skincare first, I was sent the Garnier Skin Active Pure Active Sensitive range to try out and I love it - this really helps keep my blemish at bay with that further step in my skincare routine. The Anti-Blemish Soap-Free Gel Wash does a really good job of combating breakouts without drying my skin - I still have a tiny bit left from emptying the remaining product into a travel size that I took on my holidays. As it is a gel it has a slightly thicker consistency and you only need a tiny amount for your face, I mainly focus this on my t-zone (forehead, nose and chin) where my main breakouts are. I really enjoyed using this and will repurchase without question.

The other skin care item is the Anti-Blemish Clarifying Tonic which is basically a gel toner, it has a thick consistency and I use this morning and night after my hydrating toner on areas where I normally break out. Using a cotton pad I squeeze about a 1p dollop and gently wipe across my clean skin - this has really helped soothe my skin and with salicylic acid, it's that extra step to help tighten my pores back up after cleansing. No doubt that this product is going to stay in my skin care routine for a while.

Onto serums that I have been testing out. The Ordinary is a hyped up brand with reason - it is really that good and affordable. I used Buffet and Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5. Buffet is the all around serum that helps restore hydration, I've done a review on the Anti-Aging Regime so don't forget to check that out. And Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 helps moisturise, restore and plump your skin. In terms of what has actually worked out for my skin - I prefer the Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 because I see visible results. Plumpness in my skin is really important so that I know that I am not losing that elasticity in our skin that makes us look youthful

Onto body care, another item that I was kindly sent to test out. The Palmers Shea Butter Body Lotion, I seriously love the pump on this bottle - it makes apply moisturiser to your skin much better and easier. Because this is 100% shea butter is has a slightly sour scent? but this works wonders in restoring and keeping your skin hydrated throughout the day. When you apply this to your skin it looks like a cream but when you rub it in - it has a watery consistency that your skin immediately absorbs, which is why I probably like it so much since you do not need to wait to dry off or feel sticky when you put your clothes back on. Would I purchase this with my own money? Probably but I do want to test out more from their range.

Lastly a makeup related item - the Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day Setting Spray in Cucumber. I have raved so many times how this is such a great affordable setting spray to own, this helps get rid of that powdery look that I get from using too many powders and increase the longevity in my make up. Cucumber is a very pleasant and fresh scent so if you have had problems with their other scents I do recommend trying out this one. Cucumber and Watermelon are my favourites that I have tried from their collection.

That is all from my post so far, hope you've enjoyed this review.
Until next time!
