FAVOURITE SUMMER HIGHLIGHTERS

I'm sure you are also obsessed with the glow, today I'm sharing all my current favourite powder highlighters that I have been using which are all pretty blinding. There are some cult favourites in here.

Starting with the singles. I have Jouer Cosmetics Powder Highlight in Citrine, The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer, Colourpop Loose Powder Highlight in Boomin', Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow and Becca Cosmetics Prosecco Pop and Champagne Pop.

Jouer's Citrine is classed as a shimmering gold colour and has more of an icy tone, this is the lightest shade in this collection. This highlight is absolutely blinding so a little goes a long way. The formula is incredibly soft and I've had to press the powder back into the pan - maybe I am a bit too rough and I've had this since November and have barely made a dent. If I am wanting to really brighten my complexion this is my go to. You also get a lot of product in this, I know they have a smaller size in their Christmas launches so I might pick up mini ones instead.

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer is a cult favourite and is one of my first higher price point highlighters that I purchased. I remember the days when it was £15.50 haha, the formulation of this again is very soft and I actually smashed mine and didn't use it for a while until I repressed it with rubbing alcohol. The colour of this is a champagne gold shade which pulls more golden compared to Citrine, in terms of formula this is smoother and more pigmented than Citrine.

Colourpop Loose Powder Highlight is one of my latest addition, I have the shade Boomin which is a Makeup by Shayla collaboration, Boomin is actually the lighter shade of the two and from the swatches, it is one of the darkest highlighters that I own. Boomin on my skin is very golden and has little flecks of gold shimmer, it almost looks bronzey and there is something about it that makes me reach for it time and time again. You would think that a loose powder is very messy but it actually isn't, I usually use a fan or stippling brush to apply this onto my cheeks only and sometimes even my fingers. It has a velvety smooth finish but if you have texture it will enhance that a little bit.

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow in Fair/Medium, we are only going to talk about the highlight side on this, the tone actually runs a little peachy compared to the other two singles. It has a creamy soft formula and again buildable, I have been reaching for this a lot since I love the bronzer. This highlight does not enhance any texture that you have and does last long on my skin. I use this all over my face, whatever you want to enhance it will create a smooth finish.

Becca Cosmetics X Jaclyn Hill Face Palette. I know I'm cheating a little bit but you can purchase these as singles now. I am glad that I did get my hands on the face palette but is not travel-friendly. Champagne Pop is a golden peach highlight, this suits so many skin tones and has such a smooth consistency, a little goes a long way and I did again smash this since my niece dropped it on the floor but it has been repaired. Prosecco Pop is another gold highlight but it runs yellow, I do mix Champagne pop and Prosecco Pop together most days as Prosecco Pop looks too yellow on my skin tone.
FROM LEFT TO RIGHT: PROSECCO POP, CHAMPAGNE POP, CT FILMSTAR BRONZE & GLOW, COLOURPOP BOOMIN', THE BALM MARY-LOU MANIER, JOUER CITRINE

That is all for my current favourite powder highlighters, I do have a lot more highlighters in my collection but if you have new ones to recommend I am always happy to drop it into my basket haha. Hope you enjoyed this post.

Until next time!
