February Favourites

Back with my monthly favourites, February has passed in a whirlwind and I've had such a busy month with it being Chinese New Year and then having some family stuff, I've just started to get back into blogging and not force too much pressure on myself to blog. Getting to my favourites...

SKINCARE

Having recently posted my Evening Skincare Routine, I have mentioned all these products going through my steps and what these products do for my skin so I won't go in too much detail. The Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Hyaluronic Acid Lotion was a 'love at first sight' item as I saw instant changes to my skin, it immediately became more smooth and hydrated and my makeup looked flawless thanks to this. It contains 5 types of  Hyaluronic Acid making my skin plump and can be used as a serum depending on your skin needs. It is marketed as a toner which is how I use it.

The Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Hyaluronic Acid Milk  is an intense hydrating lotion that is also packed with 5 types of hyaluronic acid, it has a thick consistency like a gel cream and it is super hydrating leaving me with glowy and smooth skin, if you like your skin feeling super drenched in moisture and feels like a baby's butt this is something that you need to try. I use this lightly morning and night as a little goes a long way.

The very much hyped Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask that had an extremely long waiting list and took ever to get back into stock, I use this as a sleeping mask at the end of my extensive skincare routine and it seals in every other product underneath and works it's magic overnight. It is a little sticky and I do not stick to the recommended amount of 'two dimes' I dab the spatula into the container and scrap of any excess on the edge. there is a dip in the spatula which gives me more than enough product for my face and neck. My skin feels hydrated and smooth in the morning and if you have dry/combination skin like me you would prefer this over the moisturiser.

The Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturiser, I don't really need to say it but I am. It smells amazing and you just want to slather yourself in this stuff. I use this mainly in the morning to seal in my products underneath. It has a gel consistency and makes my skin feel super silky, smooth and hydrated. I have tried using this over the sleeping mask at night but it doesn't give me that locked-in moisture that I like in the morning. 

MAKEUP

 I haven't really played with much makeup except the Ardere Smokey Palette* that I featured in my Current Everyday Makeup, I have been reaching for two main shades, nude which is a matte bone colour which I use to set my eyelids and Classic a matte warm caramel brown which I use all over my eyelids, they are super easy to blend and also pigmented.

Colourpop Moonchild, whenever I opt to wear a gloss it's windy but I still love this shade, Moonchild is a Kathleen Lights collab item and is an Ultra Glossy Lip. The shade is a nude beige and has flecks of gold shimmer, this blends with any lipstick I apply underneath and makes my lips super smooth, hydrated and juicy. It also wears off nicely throughout the day.
