Layering my skincare has been a natural step with me using over 10 products a day, I've adapted the 10 step skincare routine a few years ago and I just keep changing and adding new products into my routine. If I had a minimum skincare selection that being: toner, serum and moisturiser these would be my picks and here's why.
Toner
I use 3 toners a day: a glycolic acid toner, an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) toner and a hydrating toner. If I were to pick one it would be the Pixi Beauty Glow Tonic* which you can use day and night, glycolic acid helps gently exfoliate, removing dead skin cells, it also helps with scarring, skin discolouration and has anti-ageing benefits such as reducing fine lines and wrinkles. I feel my skin is a lot more even in skin texture and tone.Serum
Serums are a very difficult category for me to choose, I use 2 different serums and ampoules (higher active ingredients) in a day which are to do with skin brightening and hydration. If I were to choose one serum it would be the Milk Makeup Watermelon Brightening Serum which is in solid form, I find this has really helped with evening out my skin tone and helps lock in moisture, it leaves this sticky feeling after you have 'tapped' the product in which I do not mind. I have a full review here.Moisturiser
I have a couple of moisturiser on the go depending on what my skin needs, I mainly focus on hydration but with having oily skin, I recommend a gel moisturiser. My favourite moisturiser is the Glow Recipe Pink Juice Moisturiser (review here), one it smells of delicious watermelon and two it drenches my skin in moisture and leaves a beautiful glow. I can use this day and night and it really does leave my skin super soft. This would be my bare minimum skin products if I were to choose. What would yours be?
Until next time!

It's so good! x
DeleteMy skincare routine tends to be quite minimal, I'm the same and use a toner, serum and moisturiser usually! I think if you use more than that it's not that good for your skin x
