The Pyunkang Yul packaging is all very minimal and has a medical look, this toner sports a blue packing with an easy pop-off top. You get 200ml of product which should last you about 3 months with continued use day and night. This retails for approx £10-£11 depending on your membership on YesStyle and what offers are on.
Formulated with 90% Astragalus Membrenaceus Root Extract instead of water, this toner helps repair skin damage and revitalise skin. It is suitable for all skin types including sensitive and acne-prone. There are a few ways to use this toner; applying directly on the skin, using a cotton pad and can also be used as a mask by soaking a cotton pad and layering on your skin for a longer amount of time.
The consistency when it comes out the bottle is thicker than water but once you apply it onto your skin it becomes watery and you have time to 'pat' this into your skin. Many people use this toner to layer aka the 7 skin method, where you layer the product on your skin 7 times for full impact. There is completely no scent to this and the toner sinks in nicely and does not leave you skin sticky after. It truly hydrates and works.
In terms of toner, I prefer something that has a little more impact like the Hada Labo Premium Toner which plumps my skin in the first use, this toner also reminds me of The Body Shop Hydrating Toner but without the scent if you are looking for a brand that is more accessible. Overall I like this toner, it does what it needs to do and has not caused me any irritation even when I layer this product for more hydration.
Have you tried this toner and how do you feel about the 7 skin method?
Until next time!

I am a fan of a toner that's a bit harsher on my skin as I find they're amazing at helping get rid of blemishes!

I am the same, I use this as my second toner x
DeleteI don't really use toner much, but I do love a good hydrating essence and acid toners!

I think it depends on the toner. I do 2 layers max hahha x
DeleteThis is a new brand to me, it sounds nice overall. Toner is often a phase that I miss out, although I do use quite a few mists.

DeleteI love a good toner, this looks amazing. I need to try it out xxx
ReplyDeleteyes definitely x
DeleteThis sounds a bit like the Pixi Rose Tonic which I found almost too gentle? I like my toners to feel like they're working on my skin and I look for oils, serums and moisturisers to do the moisturising part. It's a great price though and I like the packaging a lot
ReplyDeleteI haven't used the Rose tonic yet since I'm using the glow tonic x
DeleteI actually quite like the medical look of this- I feel with skincare that sometimes its too much about cute branding and then the product itself is a let down. It's interesting that its so thick- definitely one I'll look out for in the future!

It's good when the ingredients are limited and works just as well x
