Pixi Beauty Glow Tonic Range Review | Does it work? *

It has been a month that I have started the Pixi Gow Tonic Range that I was kindly sent. I have always used the Glow Tonic in my AM routine and have now used the whole range as part of my evening routine.

The Glow Tonic range contains:
- Glow Tonic Toner
- Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel
- Glow Tonic Serum
- On the Glow Multi-Use Stick
- pHenomenal Gel

Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel
The cleansing gel claims to hydrate and removes impurities without stripping the skin and contains glycolic acid, horse chestnut extract, aloe and ginseng to help refine and brighten the complexion. Ginseng helps improve blood circulation while aloe soothes and hydrates. There is 135ml of product and you only use a tiny amount on damp skin for 30 seconds.

The cleansing gel has the classic glow tonic scent which is slightly floral but it does not overwhelm you. With it being a gel cleanser it does not lather which is great for those who are sensitive to foam. I incorporate the cleansing gel as the second step of my cleansing routine, it helps removes any last traces of makeup that may be left on and does not strip my skin. It's super gentle and leaves my skin soft.

Glow Tonic
The Glow Tonic is a cult product that helps to exfoliate your skin and reduce your pores and pigmentation. It contains 5% glycolic acid to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells, ginseng to improve circulation, aloe vera to soothe & hydrate and fructose & sucrose to brighten. I pump the product onto a cotton pad and gently sweep this across my face and neck and comes in various sizes.

I find this product helps balance my skin after I remove my makeup and leaves me with soft and glowy skin, my pigmentation has faded and acne breakouts have been at a minimum. As it contains glycolic acid I do get that tingly feeling but it does not irritate my sensitive skin. I love using this as part of my evening routine.

Glow Tonic Serum
The Glow Tonic Serum claims to soften, refine and restore radiance. It gently exfoliates your skin and hydrates at the same time. There is 30ml of product and is recommended 2 to 3 drops for face and neck.

In my opinion, the consistency of the serum is slightly thick and with my evening routine 1 drop is enough for my face and neck without overdoing it, at first it feels sticky on the skin but then it sinks into the skin in 30 seconds. My skin always feels smoother after this step and I do get that tingly feeling.

On-the-glow Multi-use Moisturiser Stick
This is basically a moisturiser in stick form and reminds me of my milk makeup watermelon serum, it contains a mix of Vitamin D2, ginseng and glycolic acid that helps to protect and increase moisture levels. It has a twist-up applicatior and you pat the product in with your fingertips. It can be used on face, body and hair.

The product is incredibly easy to glide across your skin, it does feel sticky but immediately hydrates. I like to pat this in gently and give myself a little massage. I use this as the second last step in my evening routine as it is a little heavy.

pHenomenal Gel
The pHenomenal Gel is a neutralising/balancing product and is great for combination skin. It feels lightweight and sinks in nicely. It's a beautiful calming product that is fragrance-free that seals all the hard work and hydration that you have applied underneath. When I wake up in the morning I no longer get that overly oily or dry feeling when I wake up in the morning instead it's super soft and ready for the day.

My verdict
Overall I am really glad they expanded this range, I love this skincare line. It has made me less prone to breakouts (I've had about 3 spots) and has reduced my redness, pigmentation and the need to physically exfoliate my skin to remove dead skin cells. My skin is definitely more smooth and bright and I feel the most confident since my allergic breakout.

The standout products for me are the:
- Glow Tonic Toner (always been a favourite)
- Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel (now my favourite cleansing gel)
- Glow Tonic Serum (for more radiant skin)
- pHenomenal Gel (to seal all the hydrating goodness)

The On-the-glow Multi-use Moisturiser Stick packs a punch of hydration but I prefer using a stronger serum than layering multiple moisturisers. A little reminder when using AHA's is don't over-exfoliate and separate your AHA's and vitamin C so you don't irritate your skin and your products work to their full potential.
