MY TAKE: MILANI CONCEAL + PERFECT 2 IN 1 FOUNDATION + CONCEALER REVIEW

This is the much hyped about Milani Conceal + Perfect 2 in 1 Foundation which retails for £9.99. It is available in 14 shades and claims to be medium to full coverage, light-weight with an oil-free formula, long-wearing, water resistant and sweat-proof. The product had a pump which allows to easily control the amount of product you apply. It is in a glass bottle and has a slight gradient effect which allows you to see how much product you have left in the bottle.

I have oily combination skin, sometimes dry depending on the weather but definitely an oily t-zone especially around the nose area. This foundation is 100% build-able full coverage and acts as a perfect concealer to hide blemishes such as scarring and spots. The pump allows you to pump a tiny amount to spot conceal - I only do this for any extreme acne scarring. There is also a slight scent, which wears off.

The foundation creates a flawless semi-matte finish but feels slightly sticky after applying therefore powdering is definitely needed. I have used this for 2-3 months and I reach for this daily. It feels lightweight on the skin even when I have 2 layers on and lasts incredibly long until I remove it - use it with a long lasting primer, you have a winner here.

The are 14 shades in the range, but I found that the foundation slightly oxidises, so I do recommend going a shade lighter or use a whitening drops, but this may change the consistency of the foundation. I use the Revlon Colourstay to make it lighter since my little sister is 2 shades lighter than me and the consistency is fine.

My t-zone does become oily after 6-8 hours of wear, by then I use my blotting sheets to absorb the oil and my foundation looks the same as I just applied it.  The best way for me to apply the foundation is using my Spectrum Collection Flat Top Buffer and buff this into my skin. You can use a beauty blender but it then sheers out the coverage which is what I am not opting for.

Overall, this is the best affordable full coverage foundation that I have tried. This has became an absolute favourite, I will continue to use it and repurchase. There is nothing that I can fault with it. If your looking for a full coverage without being 'cakey' try this out.

Until next time!

  1. I don't think I've seen this foundation yet but we always get things super late here if at all. I'd love to try it!

  2. I'm not one for a medium-full coverage foundation as I don't wear it that much, so I tend to go for light coverage products. I currently use the Chanel Healthy glow fluid, which is amazing! Good review though Joyce!

  7. I've been really curious about this foundation as I need to replace mine, and I've really liked Milani products. Did it make you break out? My last foundation did and it drove me nuts. I have a very similar skin type to you.

  8. Looks like such a lovely product! It probably won't be a great choice for me since I have pretty dry skin but I enjoyed reading the review nonetheless :D
