I am a skincare junkie, you probably know this by now with my extensive 10 step skincare routine. Today I'm sharing the 5 moisturisers that I am currently using - I change up my moisturisers quite often depending on how much hydration my skin needs.
Good skin comes with good skin prep and that's starts with removing your makeup before bed and giving you skin the moisture it needs. I have two different moisturisers that I use at night depending on how dry my skin feels. The Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation Facial Moisturiser is my nightly go-to if my skin feels normal and doesn't need as much TLC. The Sheer Transformation is lightweight and has an almost whipped texture - it's extremely cooling and gives the right amount of moisture my skin needs. If I feel more tired it usually reflects in my skin hence more dry which is when I opt for the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream - this is an extremely thick cream that really packs a punch, you skin feels more plumped and ready to tackle on the day, it also smells delightful, you can use this as a makeup base but it's a bit too much for day use.
During the day time I have 3 different moisturisers options depending on if I am wearing makeup or what foundation I am to wear. My most reached for daily moisturiser when I wear makeup is the Amie Hydrating Daily Moisturiser - it has 90.8% natural ingredients and is a perfect hydrating base before your foundation or primer. If I am applying a dewy foundation like the L.A Girl Pro Coverage Illuminating Foundation, I apply the Amie Matte Finish Moisturiser on top of the Amie Hydrating Daily Moisturiser mainly on my t-zone, it helps to control the oil as it has pore control abilities. On my no-makeup days when I give my skin a rest I opt for the Origins GinZing which has a lightweight gel formula. The gel consistency sinks into the skin quickly and I find this is amazing for tired skin and gives that supple effect without feeling greasy or heavy. This also smells of fresh oranges which make you want to apply more.
That is all for my 5 different moisturisers, what is your current favourite go-to?
I hope you've enjoyed this post!
Until next time!
