NEW IN SKINCARE AND BEAUTY

After a long spending ban, I'm sure you would of all expected this, I hit pan on quite a few products and had to restock. There are a couple of items that you have already seen which I will link the reviews, I hope you're as excited as me to see what I picked up and if there are certain items you want me to review let me know. Getting straight into the post.

First up I'm going to be talking about skincare. It came to that time when I needed to swap some of my products that are not working for my skin anymore. I picked up the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Cream. As the packaging say it is a gel formula and this sinks into my skin so easily and hydrates. My skin has felt a lot plumper and I have really been enjoying using this. I got a couple of backups since it was on offer and my mum is also loving this for her mature skin. It's a great daily cream and I also use this as a makeup base too. It doesn't have too much of a strong scent but it smells very refreshing.

The next item is an eye serum the Hylamide SubQ Eyes which I featured in my May Favourites. I have been holding back for so long since this is pricey for an eye serum (thankyou boots points and offers!) This has helped my dry under eyes and gives me the perfect amount of moisture needed day and night. You only need a little drop for both your eyes and I haven't had any problems applying makeup on top like I had in the past.

The L'Oreal Hydra Genius was something that I found in Boots in the 'new in' area. This is really fascinating, it claims to lock in moisture for 72 hours and contains aloe water and hyaluronic acid which we all know is fantastic for hydration. Is says that you use this liquid care as a daily moisturising cream. I've actually seen this product last year when I was in Hong Kong and never picked it up, there are two editions. A normal one for normal skin and one for dry and sensitive skin which is the one I picked up, I'm excited to try this.

I've talked about The Ordinary High Adherence Silicone Primer which I will link here. There are pros and cons of this and I recommend using this on areas which you are not oily, it helps blurs out your imperfections and it's an affordable primer to check out.

The last item is from Palmers, the Shea Formula Body Lotion. I was kindly sent this to try out and I have been using this for over a month, I have under half left now and I'm really enjoying applying this to my body daily. I love that this has a pump which we all know is handy instead of a squeeze tube which flies across the room when our hands are slippy. This pumps out as a cream but turns into a watery kind of texture when you rub this in therefore absorbs into your skin very fast. It hydrates my skin and leaves it very supple.

Onto the makeup, I've purchased a lot! mainly bases and foundations. Starting with foundations I have the Milani Conceal + Perfect Foundation which was my favourite summer foundation last year, I needed to pick another so I could take it with me when I go on holiday at the end of the month. The colour is light beige which is a little too dark for me right now but I will take my whitening foundation drops and by the end of my holiday it will be a perfect match. I have a whole review of this so don't forget to check out the list here.

I repurchased the EX1 Invisiwear Liquid Foundation which I finished using, I have been really enjoying this formula and decided it needs to be a permanent item in my collection, I've got a while review of this so I won't ramble too much, it has a good medium coverage and is perfect for yellow and olive undertones.

My local Debenhams finally has Kat Von D so I picked up the Lock It Foundation and a sample. I got matched to shade 45 Warm which I'm still not too sure if it's the right shade for me. I apply it and it looks too pale but then when everything else has been applied it looks okay, I have a review coming up soon of this.

I picked up the Dr Jart BB Cream I remember trying out a moisturiser before that I loved and decided to give this go since I like wearing BB Cream on casual days and when I go on holidays. They didn't have a tester available and I still picked this up which I really regret. There is only one shade and it's soo pink, it's like applying nothing onto your skin accept a pink tint. It doesn't blur out my blemish as a BB cream is supposed to do and I now have no idea what to do with this.

My trusty RCMA No Colour Powder is running low and I picked this up from Beautybay, it sets all my different foundations really well and does not leave a white cast on my skin. It's so affordable and this is the on,y powder that I have and I recommend this to everyone. I've poured mine into a loose powder container which makes it so much easier to use.

I finished another setting spray and Gerard Cosmetics Slay All day is my go to. I finished the scent cucumber and picked up the scent Watermelon which Holly from The Kitty Luxe raved about on Twitter. I seriously love this scent and it reminds me on the Jolly Ranchers Watermelon sweet. For some reason, this one doesn't make my eyes watery so I have been loving it. I probably will try the coconut scent next. This sets my makeup soo well leaving me with a flawless canvas.
Onto the only eyeshadow palette, you have seen this all over my blog and Instagram. It was launched in early May and I was kindly sent this from the team at Ardere Cosmetics, I have been loving this Natural to Night Palette* since it's super pigmented and has all the shades I need. I have a whole review here so don't forget to check it out.

I finally picked up my holy grail eyeliner, the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in a Trooper. The nib is so fine that it makes it easy to create that perfect wing. It is super black and is a waterproof formula which is perfect for my oily eyelids.

Lastly, the final product to my huge 'New in' I saw Pony from Pony Makeup use the Etude House 4 tip brow. This is a felt brow pen and the tip is separated into 4 points which mimic hair like strokes very well, it can be used as an overnight eyebrow tint which I sometimes do. This is a very innovative product which I will check out the colour range when I go to Hong Kong.

That is it for my insanely new in post, as mentioned before let me know if there are certain products that you want a full review on. Hope you've enjoyed this post.

Until next time!

  1. I love the Milani foundation foundation for use in the evening. It gives such good coverage without looking unnatural. Great stash! Xx
