Makeup tips for oily skin

Holla at those who have oily skin and want longlasting makeup. We are talking trying not to look like a hot melted mess at the end of the day. I've been through a fair share of products so here are some tips.

Revisiting liquid foundations

With skin changes, a foundation that you once loved may not be in that category again, I tested out these foundations over two weeks looking at longevity, finish and if they address/cover my skin concerns. This does not cover and cushion foundations or BB/CC Creams

Full face of cruelty free makeup

Going through my products, I have been more conscious of what I purchase and ethics behind cosmetics and brands. Today I have a full face of makeup that is cruelty-free.

CURRENT EVERYDAY MAKEUP

As the weather is a lot more hot and humid in Hong Kong, I have been changing up my makeup a little bit going with less coverage and the less is more concept. For a general everyday face when I'm not testing out makeup or creating new looks these are the products I have been reaching for.

GOING THROUGH MY EMPTIES #2

Welcome back to another empties post, I am still on my spending ban therefore I have been using my makeup and skincare stash and have not bought anything at all, writing this up, I really need a new foundation since I only now have my summer shade which is about 3 shades too dark and I only have a pump or two left in the EX1 Foundation. I digress so let's take a look through my trash.

Welcome to the best of beauty 2016, I've also posted my skincare edition on a separate post so if you're a skincare junkie like me pop along and check it out. 2016 has definitely been a year with amazing launches hence amazing products and those who made it into my faves of 2016, this is my 1st yearly round up post I've done and I really wanted to include my previous favourites prior to 2016 but that can be a holy grail post.

THE CHRISTMAS PARTY FACE/PRODUCTS

Last Saturday was a wild night for me - not often that I say that but I had my work Christmas do and this is when I scrub up and master all those undereye baking skills and eyeshadow blending skills that I watch from YouTube. I'm that type of girl that if you give me 2 hours to get ready I can use up that time and still be late. But here are all the products that I used on my face.

NOVEMBER FAVOURITES

November favourites are here and I have been loving a couple of items this month, I really wanted to include my Colourpop bits but I think it’s a bit too soon so it might pop it in next month’s favourites.

MINIMAL MAKE UP

Not every day that we want to pile on the makeup especially on our stay indoor days or no makeup day. I feel that makeup just starts the day off and prepares you for anything so you are more productive. Sometimes I do find that my no make-up days actually take more effort and time than my normal makeup routine but I need to master that. I have tried to use the least amount of products for a no makeup menu resulting to 7 products.
