Colourpop No Filter Stix
From my first impression and review, my opinion of this has not changed and I will be getting rid of it, this foundation 'stix' is not for me, despite my skin almost recovering from my breakout no matter if I use a sponge or brush it still looks cakey as you need to build up that coverage, as I also have oilier skin, stick foundations do not really work as it is a cream/oil base. I will not give up hope, the back of my mind is telling me to try out the Hourglass Vanish Stick.
Milani Conceal + Perfect
Can you believe I have used this foundation for 3 years now? (This is not the same bottle haha) My review was written up in 2016. This is a medium to full coverage foundation and to reach full coverage status I use a flat top buffer and it also means I am using less product. As I am getting older and went through a horrendous breakout I do not like my skin to be super matte as it accentuates any dry patches I may have. This gives me a semi-matte finish and with my natural oils coming through it gives me a lovely glow. I have not used this foundation in the longest time and I will be reaching for it a lot.
L.A. Girl Pro Coverage
Again a foundation that I discovered 3 years ago, read my review here. I really have forgotten how much I like this foundation - it is medium coverage which then I go in with a concealer to cover blemishes. It provides me with a lovely glow throughout the day and I do have to powder lightly especially on my oily areas. This foundation is really good for those who have dry skin.
NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop
One of my favourite 2018 launches, this is a full coverage foundation which truly covered all my blemishes and scars, what's good about this formula is that it is liquid so going in with two or three layers is perfectly fine. It's a shame I got the wrong colour but with 45 shades this foundation is a must try. They have recently launched their setting powder and concealer which I can't wait to try.
3 years ago, this foundation only had 5 shades and was only available to purchase online. Now you can pick this up from your local Boots in the UK along with 16 shades and many other products like concealers and powders which I have not tried. This foundation gives you healthy flawless natural skin, it does have a semi-matte finish, therefore, I only powder where I need to. The consistency is quite thick therefore I only going in with one pump and then conceal where necessary. For an everyday foundation, this is my go-to and it lasts me about 6-8 hours. If you have more of a yellow/olive undertone I do recommend trying this out. Read my previous review here.
Packed with Vitamins, this foundation helps with tired skin. The consistency is on the thicker creamier side and I prefer using a flat top buffer with this foundation. It gives me a dewy glowy finish and I still go in with 2 layers for good medium coverage and further concealing where needed. I do find this a little too dewy in this hotter climate but my skin overall looks very healthy. It will start separating on the 4-5 hours mark and then I will powder down. I have become a lot paler and shade 53 light beige is a little too dark. My review of the reformulated foundation is here.
I talked about this foundation in my 'Best of makeup 2018'. This is a runny liquid foundation and gives me a matte finish, I do not need to set my foundation at all with this but if you do have dry patches it will cling onto those areas. Having this foundation for a while now, it leaks around the rim of the bottle so everytime I open it, I get bits of dry foundation on my desk. Because of the finish, it lasts me all day but I do think it becomes a little cakey around my nose. I tend to mix this foundation now as it is a little too dark.
Again, mentioned in my 'Best of makeup 2018', this is a matte and full coverage foundation, it covers everything but my skin has become a lot my dry hence I need a good moisturising base underneath. I only reach for this when I am going out as it lasts through sweat and humidity and does not require and blotting or powdering. I am excited to try out the concealer of this.
This is a £6 foundation which is extremely affordable, I have my first review here. It is medium coverage with a thick creamy consistency. Unfortunately, I no longer like this foundation. I purchased a new one and it oxides on me and becomes orangey. Even though I did previously say it's a semi-matte finish I found this quite powdery which may be because my skin is on the dry and oily side. It just doesn't give me the good skin look that I am after now.
I hope you enjoyed my update, I can now get rid of the ones that don't work for me. Have you had any foundations that you loved in the past?
Until next time!

So many foundations here that I’d love to try! Especially the ordinary one and the wet n wild one because they’re so affordable and so many people seem to love them! The oxidising might be an issue though....
ReplyDeleteI've wanted to try the LA girl foundation for ages, I've heard it's really good for people with dry skin. The Bourjois one is great but I prefer the serum to the foundation and it's formula doesn't patch as much. I really want to try the wetnwild one but I don't think I could deal with that leaky packaging! xx

The Milani conceal & perfect is amazing!! I need to repurchase that one ASAP as I’d forgotten about it xx
ReplyDeleteAh you’ve tried so many different foundations, it’s amazing! I think I’ve only ever tried three or four.. I’m desperate to try the Bourjois Healthy Mix xo
