Best in Skincare 2018

Back with my favourite skincare related items of 2018, I can barely remember what I used in the first half the year so I should split this into half-year favourite for this year. Getting straight into the products....

For the last two months of the year, I've had the worst skin reaction to a product and my skin has not been the same since. It still continues to flare up and I have been using the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion and The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil to helps with those breakouts.

The MD drying lotion has a very strong smell but it helps dry out the spots, to use this you dab a cotton bud mixing both the pink powder and liquid together which you then dab onto the skin. You do look a bit scary with this on your skin so I tend to use this at night and hope I don't bump into people on the way to the bathroom the next day.

The tea tree oil is the best I have used so far as it contains 15% pure tea tree oil which really helps to fight bacteria and breakouts. Again a cotton put is really handy for this and you dab where necessary.

Proto-col Intense Moisturiser SPF 50, I use this product on top of my normal moisturiser as it contains SPF. I have used this since summer and I am now on my second bottle, it helps protect your skin from sun damage and also contains hyaluronic acid to moisturise the skin throughout the day.

Lush Sleepy, I love all things lavender and I loved it the year Lush had twilight and this is very similar to that reminded me of lavender heaven. The moisturiser smells heavenly on your skin and truly does moisturise your skin, you do have a little shimmer on your skin. The shower gel just relaxes you after a long day and is something that I reach for daily.

Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo, having a thing for coconut scent this shampoo smells amazing and even my brother is obsessed with this, it is for dry and frizzy hair and it hydrates my hair very well. If you remember that herbal essence shampoo advert where they are washing their hair in the jungle, that is me in the shower using this shampoo.

It's Skin Power 10 Vitality Serum, always being on the lookout for serums especially as the ordinary created such affordable skincare, this is Korean manufactured and claims to boost collagen, help with signs of ageing and improve elasticity.  I can't say much about the ageing part but it really hydrated my skin, I've had no irritation and is something that I will go back to.

For face masks which I do at least 3 times a week, I go for the easy convenience of a sheet mask that being from Mediheal and Leaders. The Mediheal N.M.F Aquaring Ampoule Mask I can use every day if I wish, it helps restore moisture and hydration. I only use the Leaders Amino Moisture Mask when I have very dry and flaky skin as it is for intense hydration and contains amino acid complex with lysine, ceramide and hyaluronic acid. With sheet masks I recommend using to the recommended time as your skin can only absorb so much essence.

Rapidlash Eyelash Enhancing Serum, since I've been on the no eyeliner hype, I have been using Rapidlash since April and I have been very consistent and I am now on my second bottle. The old one I now use for my brows and I've already since signs of growth on sparse areas of my brows. My eyelashes have been incredibly good and my lashes have never looked longer, healthier or better, I have another tube of these in my backup but they last for the longest time. I've recommended this to my friends and family and they all seen good results.

Hope you enjoyed this little roundup! I am really excited to see what discoveries I find in 2019!

Until next time!
