Summer has meant more glowy and natural makeup, skipping eyeshadow and focused on all the highlight and skin. These are the products I have been reaching for recently to achieve that 'natural' glow.

How to achieve glowy skin on oily skin

Who doesn't want to look glowy and radiant throughout the day but dun dun dun you have oily skin and you look like an oil slick two hours in with you makeup slipping off. Here are some tips and products to achieve glowy luminous skin on a daily basis.

I have been on a mission to use up more products which potentially gives me the space to try more and review them. Most of these products have been well loved and have been in my collection for a while so you may have seen a few.

Current makeup favourites

Everybody loves highlighters! MAC Oh Darling & Double Gleam has been my constant rotation. Double Gleam is a light yellow champagne shade which I opt for when I want a truly blinding highlighter as it's lighter than my complexion. Oh, Darling! is what I opt for when I want something a little warmer, it looks a lot more bronzer in the pan but leaves a beautiful light golden glow. Depending on my blusher and base I swap between the two. I love using a fan brush to slowly apply this to create a lovely seamless glow.

Christmas glam makeup

Who loves getting ready for an event? I don't have any Christmas parties to go to this year but it doesn't mean I can't look the part. Getting ready can be really fun! These are the products I used for this look.

Most reached for nudes

Everyone has that go-to category that they want their everyday lipstick to be and I have 3 which all the pretty similar when I swatched them but I can tell you how they vary.

Back with a goodie, one of my favourite posts to do, my 5 lip products of the week. I have a lot of lip products in my everyday bag and this gives me the chance the empty it out and rotates my other products.

THE LIPSTICK LOUNGE + GIVEAWAY

Back with a goodie, if you are like me and can not leave the house with some form of lip product on, you know that your bag is probably stashing about 10 lip items. Mine actually wasn't that bad this time but I still had 7 not to mention the ones I still have in my other bags, coat pockets and at work. WHAT'S IN MY BAG | LIPSTICKS

I have an excessive amount of lip products that I carry in my backpack. I always grab a different colour and then throw them into my bag and forget about them until I actually clean out my bag. There are 9 different lip products I'm sharing but I did actually have 10 colours but I left that one at work. As you can see I have a type, I love my nudes and then have the occasional dash of wine red shades. I have to say these are my most reached for shades and from the amount of lip products I have I really need to rotate my collection.

Hi, I'm back with my monthly favourites, it's been a little quiet on here with everything going on I just wanted to take a little break and now I'm feeling refreshed. This month I've gone back to some old faves and I have been obsessed with a golden brown smokey eye hence all the eyeshadows. Enjoy!

Welcome back to Week In Lipsticks, like always I sway towards my nudes and mainly matte lip choices. It's been a while since I done one of these posts and I really do enjoy looking back at these.

FEBRUARY FAVOURITES

February has gone by so fast and we are 3 months into the year! I've done a bit of travelling this month being away in London and Manchester and it's seriously had an effect on my skin which I will update you later since I've been using some new skin products to combat that. Onto the makeup, I've had some rediscoveries and have been playing around with new products.

MAC WHIRL LIPSTICK REVIEW

MAC's matte lipstick is one of my favourite formulas, they have incredible pigment and longevity. I have Whirl in lip pencil form and I find that it a little drying but when I saw my friend wear Whirl in lipstick form I knew I had to get it. I'm incredibly grateful for my friends as this with gifted to me for Christmas.

Welcome to the best of beauty 2016, I've also posted my skincare edition on a separate post so if you're a skincare junkie like me pop along and check it out. 2016 has definitely been a year with amazing launches hence amazing products and those who made it into my faves of 2016, this is my 1st yearly round up post I've done and I really wanted to include my previous favourites prior to 2016 but that can be a holy grail post.

WEEK IN LIPSTICKS #2

Happy New Year, it's the first post of 2017 and I am enjoying these chill days where I can just shop, blog and eat, it's going to be back to reality very soon so I hope you've had a great ending to2016 and can't wait to start 2017. Being in the Christmas and New Year spirit I have been opting for deeper red and burgundy tones as my lip choice. I have very much enjoying rocking these tones and it allows me to dip back into my lipstick collection and fall in love with my forgotten favourites.
