COLOURPOP PRESSED POWDERS - EYESHADOWS, BLUSH, BRONZER AND HIGHLIGHTERS

Colourpop is constantly launching new products and I am constantly topping up my online basket, today we are looking into the Colourpop Pressed Powders - the eyeshadows, blush, bronzers and highlighters. I've had these for a while now so read on for my thoughts.

Starting with face powders, I picked up the two face duos, Double Play and Topaz. Packaging wise it comes with a mirror and has a magnetic closure, although the box is quite beautiful, I do find it a bit bulky and not very easy to travel with since I took them to Hong Kong with me.

Onto the face duos, Topaz is a collaboration with Alexis Ren and contains a bronzer and highlight. The bronzer side is called golden moment - a beautiful matte warm bronzer this is extremely pigmented and smooth to apply on your face, it gives my skin a beautiful glow especially that I am more tanned and my face is so much paler. The highlight side named She's Here To Stay is a gold shade- this does not swatch well on my arm at all, although the colour is very beautiful, the highlight gives me texture where I don't have texture and is not very smooth. I normally just use the bronzer side and opt for a different highlight.

Double Play consists of a blush and a highlight. The blush side is called Getting Handsy and is described as a warm nude matte blush, this is more of a coral/peach shade and looks beautiful on my skin. The blush like the bronzer is extremely pigmented and a little goes a long way. The highlight is called Padded Down which is described as a warm champagne colour. On my skin, it reminds me of Lunch Money but with a hint of pink, Padded Down is the same as She's Here To Stay and gives me texture where I don't have it.
Onto the eyeshadows, I only picked up two shades; Note To Self and High Strung. Note To Self is a matte warm caramel shade, this works beautifully as a transitional shade or all over the lid colour, it blends seamlessly and is incredibly pigmentedHigh Strung is described as a metallic rusty rose and is very accurate, although it looks browner in the pan, you need to use a flat synthetic brush to apply the shadow onto your eyelids. I found that the Colourpop Flat Eyeshadow Brush works the best at picking up High Strung.

Overall

I'm waiting for the moment Colourpop launches single, bronzers and blush since the pressed powders have an amazing formula and pigment. The highlight, however, I would give it a miss and stick with their Super Shock Highlighter which is incredible. The eyeshadows now that I've had more time to play with, I would repurchase and expand my collection especially the matte shades. At this moment I really want to depot the face duos and place it into an empty magnetic palette. What're your thoughts on these pressed powders?

That's all for this post!
Until next time!
