TESTING WET 'N ' WILD | PHOTOFOCUS FOUNDATION, CONCEALER, BLUSH AND MORE

Finally Wet 'n' Wild are back in the UK available to purchase from Beauty Bay, I picked up a couple of things and have made another order since some of the items were sold out. These so far counts as my first impression but I do know what I like and dislike. I only selected the items that I truly know I was going to use since I don't want to hoard too much makeup.

PHOTO FOCUS FACE PRIMER | £5
Since I am running low on my trusty Primark Primer Water I know I need to venture back out there with my primers, this claims to have s matte finish, controls shine, blurs pores and create an even canvas for makeup. I do actually agree with all these claims, it is not a completely matte formula that tugs onto your skin, you actually have time to work it in. My pores look very blurred and work with my SPF fine. It does not have a scent and I have noticed I am less shiny. This is thumbs up from me.

PHOTO FOCUS FOUNDATION | £6
This foundation claims to have no flashback and a matte finish. It does not say anything about coverage but it feels like a buildable medium to full, I do need to go in with concealer to further cover my blemishes. Scent wise it smells like paint/plasticine but it does not linger which is a good thing. The applicator is like a spatula which is better than having no pump, I swipe this on the back of my hand. The formula is on the liquid side and I found that using a beauty blender gives you a better finish. You do need to wait for it to set and my skin seriously looks flawless, anything that I apply on top is flawless too. I think this is fantastic and I picked up the shade Soft Beige.

PHOTOFOCUS CONCEALER | £3.75
So I blame myself for not checking if I picked up the right colour. I ended up getting the shade Light/Medium Beige but I initially wanted the lighter shade for under my eyes. I have reordered the correct shade so we will see how it works for under my eyes. I used this one to further conceal blemishes, the colour is slightly darker in the tube but matches well with the foundation. It claims to be a high coverage concealer but I find that it blends into nothing. I'll be testing this one out more.

NATURAL FINISH SETTING SPRAY | £5
There are only 45ml of product which is smaller in size but it claims to give you a natural dewy look all day. This setting spray gives the Urban Decay All Nighter a run for its money, I feel like they are exactly the same thing especially the scent. Maybe because the foundation is matte I didn't feel like this made my skin dewy but it indeed makes it last a lot longer and got rid of that powdery effect when you apply to much powder. The spray is very nicely distributed, the only thing that puts me off is the 'pollen' scent that you also get in the UD ones and it lingers on your clothes.

COLOUR ICON BLUSH | £3.50
I really wanted to try their blush since I have been loving blushers recently. I picked up the shade Apri-Cot in the Middle which is described as an orange toned shimmer. All these blushes are shimmery and I find that it is perfect for this weather, it creates such a radiant natural glow. I do find that a lot goes onto my brush which then I tap off before applying, it blends beautifully and I have been enjoying so far.

COLOUR ICON EYESHADOW PALETTE | £3.75
I picked up the 10 piece palette and in the past, people were constantly raving how good these were. I have the shade Nude Awakening which is on the purple burgundy side. You get 2 transitional colours, 3 mattes and the rest are shimmers. I really like the combination of shades and I'm really testing this palette out. So far I love the shimmer light shades but I have a little trouble with the darker matte shades since it can become muddy. So far it's a lovely palette to work with but I will get back to you with this.

MEGA LAST LIQUID CATSUIT MATTE LIPSTICK | £5
To me, this is basically a velvet liquid lip that has a really nice lip hugging applicator. It claims to be long-wearing and has a matte finish. The first time I used it (on my Instagram makeup highlights) I don't think I removed my lip balm properly so it didn't set well and got really sticky and patchy. On my second and third time, I really let it set on my lips but I did need to apply 2 layers but also wait for the first initial layer to dry first. It looks absolutely perfect until you eat, it comes off in little blobs and it's difficult to reapply and have that completely smooth finish. I'm not a fan of this even though the shade I picked up Nudist Peach is beautiful. On me, it looks like a bright pink coral instead of peachy.

OVERALL
I really love the base items I have picked up that being the; face primerfoundationsetting spray and blush. I will work with the other items more but the liquid lip is not for me. If you have to get any of these I recommend the foundation and then the blush. Stay tuned for more.
Until next time!

  7. The shades in that palette are beautiful! Such a shame about the liquid lipstick, as that shade looks gorgeous too and £5 is a pretty decent price!xo
