PRIMER
I've had the Smashbox Photo Finish in my draw for the longest time and never reach for it. It may be because this is a silicone based primer and I love the Water Primer. I applied this on mainly my t-zone area or where there is a little dry skin. I'm not sure if this affected the performance of the foundations I used but I was a little flaky on my cheeks and the foundation sank into the pores on my nose.FOUNDATION
I am way more into my dewy and glowy foundation and the Bourjois Healthy Mix has been a favourite for me in Winter. Because my skin has changed I do prefer these dewy and natural finishes more. My shade is a little dark for me, shade 53 Light Beige so I mixed it with the LA Girl Pro Coverage Foundation in White adding two tiny dots to one full pump of HM. The finish was beautiful, glowy and flawless but I did see that it sunk into my pores on my nose and cheek but it may have been the primer.BRONZE
Who else uses bronzer as a contour? I had to stop myself from reaching for Benefit Hoola. Instead, I used the Ciate X Olivia Palermo Bluff Point (similar here), which is such a smooth powder. For my illuminating powder I went back to my super old Milani Illuminating powder in Amber Nectar it did show up more red on my skin so I might need to get rid of this. Overall I wasn't as bronzey as I normally looked.BLUSH
I went back into my collection and used the Becca Cosmetics x Jaclyn Hill Face Palette using the shade Ameretto which is a warm almond colour. It faded so quick on my cheeks and made me a little pale, so I went back in with a little bit of Pamplemousse to add colour back into my cheeks. I need to reach for these more since they are so smooth on the skin.HIGHLIGHT
Before setting powder, I went in with the Colourpop Super Shock Highlighter in Lunch Money, I feel like I have forgotten how to use these since it's been such a long time. I applied this mainly on the high points of my face with a Beauty Blender and it provides such a beautiful natural inner glow. For powder highlight, I went in with Prosecco Pop and Champagne Pop for the Jaclyn Hill Face Palette.BOTTOM TO TOP: LUNCH MONEY, CHAMPAGNE POP, PROSECCO POP, AMERETTO, PAMPLEMOUSSE |
BROWS
I went back into my Revolution Brow Pomade with a Spectrum Angled Brush and OMG I have missed this pomade, it's not chalky like my L'oreal Paradise Pomade and does such a good job of filling in my brows, I need a darker shade but its such a good brow pomade.MASCARA
I only have a limited amount of mascaras since they do expire but I pulled out the Eyeko Skinny Mascara, It has such a fascinating tube packaging, while it did lengthen my lashes it made my lashes droop back into my straight lash form so I did not enjoy this.LIPS
I went in with a few lip products: Colourpop Glossy Lip in Weho which I ended up binning since it was so old, 951 Ultra Satin Lip but it was a little too brown for what I was going with so I topped it off with Wet n Wild Bare It All. After lunch, I went in with the Etude House Auto Lip Liner in 01 which is a muted raspberry rose shade.BOTTOM TO TOP: ETUDE HOUSE 01, BARE IT ALL, 951, WEHO |
Does this inspire to change up your makeup? I definitely had some good rediscoveries.
Until next time!

I definitely love dipping into makeup products that I've completely forgot that I owned because I DO always find some great discoveries (and some stuff where I'm like, "yes, I remember why I stopped using this!")!
