How to dress down a suit

Who always loved the idea of a two-piece power suit? I adore the look of a coordinated look and it's easy to look smart but difficult to dress it down. Here are my ideas to make it 'smart but casual'.

Being a lover or co-ord and the shade mustard yellow, I love this set from Zara: the jacket and the trousers. I like the length of these trousers and make sure you get it altered to your height, if you like to wear heels with these make it flats or small sandals. I have difficulty walking in heels so I am all for the trainers which are comfy and white trainers just makes an outfit look fresh.

What you wear underneath can really change up your look because of the neckline, I personally like to opt for v neck to accentuate the clavicle bone and then you can pop on a necklace. I've actually chosen this crop top since I love the scallop edge.

Bag wise, if you are going out and don't mind carrying your things, a clutch bag is a lovely way to pop everything you need inside. If you need a little bag to carry around, I've selected this bag which has adjustable straps which you can wear as a crossbody or a bum bag. I love the big gold buckle design at the front.

Earrings are always a must, I feel incredibly naked when I forget to pop some on, I always touch my ears and I love the look of small hoops. These ones that I have chosen have a vintage look to them with the twisted gold shape and a pearl dangling on the end.

Sunglasses, I am not a fan of those tiny sunglasses that only looks cool. It makes my head and face look extremely big. For those who like oversized sunglasses that can look stylish, I love this one that has a cat-eye effect and you can pop this on your head and use as a headband.

If you love the trend of thick headbands, I love this embellished jewel headband that has a satin material, it instantly gives you this victorian look and makes it very sleek. Most importantly it will help keep hair away from your face which is one of my pet peeves.

Who else loves colourful suits?

Until next time!
