How to apply
Use after applying skincare and before makeup using an appropriate amount. SPF is normally about 3 finger lengths of product.
The product has a slight green tint and is a thick cream that covers redness. Replacing this as SPF you need a decent amount to cover your entire face and neck. With it being a colour correcting treatment you work this into your skin until it turns to beige. SPF has flashback so it was difficult getting a true colour of when the product was blended.
My verdict
I found the product incredibly thick, it does have a slight herbal scent but that is to be expected. When I used this on my face it turned orange I believe it's to do with the Vitamin C that I use in my skincare.
As mentioned before you need decent coverage to replace SPF and it felt extremely cakey on my skin before even using this under foundation. While I wanted to cover redness, this only minimised the redness a little.
I wanted 'your skin but better' look but it wasn't providing me with enough coverage. My skin felt greasy and pores felt blocked. When I removed this I had many under the skin spots which were cystic acne.
I've heard amazing things about this but it's a shame it did not work out for me. I will use a green concealer to colour correct instead.
I hope you found my insight helpful. I get breakouts really easily and it's so important to trial skincare one product at a time.

ah it's such a shame that you didn't get on well with this product. I'm similar to you, I prefer not to have anything too cakey on my skin, I don't think that there is a need these days with so many great products available!

ReplyDeleteI know! I had high expectations x
DeleteIt's a shame the redness coverage was poor as I would have loved to try this to counteract my red areas!

What a shame, this sounded great, but seems like it isn't a product that I would like either.
ReplyDeleteIt's just too thick to work as an SPF x
