I'm sure everyone has been loving brown nude lips since it's been a huge trend this year for people wanting their lips but better lip shades. If you asked me 2 years ago what my perfect nude shade was . I would have said 'I don't' because I never wore nudes, I wore corals and I wore pinks. Fast forward to now, there are all sorts of different tones of nudes in different affordable and luxury brands. Browns are my most favoured colour in my lip product collection so far and these 7 are my go-to's that I swap between.

Starting with lipsticks, my perfect everyday nude that I keep one in my bag and one on my vanity is MAC Velvet Teddy. This nude looks different on every single person. It may appear more brown on some people and more pink on others. On me it is a pink nude, see photos here and here. This lasts a long time on me approximately 5 to 6 hours until I need to eat and does not transfer too much since it is a matte formula. I love the colour of this and this is definitely worth the hype.
The other lipstick is the Ciate X Oliva Palermo in Praline. This has a satin finish and has a bit more of a red undertone compared to MAC Velvet Teddy. If I needed something that has a hint more colour to go with a smokey eye, I opt for this one. I find that it dries your lips out faster compared to Velvet Teddy for some reason. And I need to reapply approximately 3-4 hours and it does transfer. This colour is the closest to my natural pigmented lips.
I love using lip pencils since they are so handy but these one need sharpening but I can forgive Nars because of the amazing colour. First up is Tortola this is hands down a beautiful matte brown lip product. The darkest brown lip colour I own and I love it. It is very creamy to apply and the staying power is exceptional. If you eat oily products, of course, it removes everything including this but if you feeling this 90's lip trend like me you will love this.
The sister of Tortola is Walkyrie. This is another matte shade but it has a pink undertone, therefore a pink nude shade. The formula is exactly the same as Tortola but if I want a little more colour to my lips this is what I opt for. I sometimes mix Tortola and Walkyrie together and it is a dream to wear and looks like a mauve brown.
LIQUID LIPSTICKS AND CREAMS
If you don't own NYX Cosmetics Liquid Suede in Sandstorm and you love your brown tones go and order it now. This is a cool toned brown shade that I use more of a mixer with other lip products. It has a smooth matte finish that does not dry down completely matte and leaves your lips very moisturised even though it does not look it. I never wear this alone since it washes me out but I love mixing this with Cannes and Copenhagen for a different nude lip colour. Not to mention it makes your lines on your lips smoother and plump.
NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream in Abu Dhabi is quite new to me but this is basically a Mac Velvet Teddy dupe in a lip cream form. It has a pink undertone and I find that I need 2 layers of this to cover my natural lip colour. This is more drying and it does enhance your dry patches on your lips if you have any but the colour is really pretty. I wear this if I only have a couple of errands to run since this wears off quite fast and feels dry.
Lastly Collection's Cream Puff in Angel Delight. I find this really hard to get hold of online and in-stores. This is a peachy pink nude shade that I fell in love with and would not stop wearing until I had to get another tube within months. How fast can you finish up a lip product right?. This is very moisturising and pigmented especially when compared to NYX' Soft Matte Lip Creams. It also smooths out the lines on your lips and when it's advertised as 'moisturising' I believe them. They have 4 other shades in their collection but I find them a bit too pink or nude. If you are on a budget this is the one I recommend the most.
I hoped you have enjoyed this post about my favourite nude lip colours. I would love to know which nude lip is your favourite!.
Until next time!
