HEROES - SEPTEMBER BIRCHBOX

I was very excited when I came home to see this sitting on my bed. Birchbox is the only monthly subscription that I subscribe to as they introduce me to new brands and new products for a price of £12.99 a month. This month's theme is called 'heroes' which celebrates the heroic women - me and you.

This month's Birchbox was designed by a subscriber and the print of the box is very pretty and colourful - almost looks like post stick notes joined together at the corners. I like how this month's Birchbox is a pull out draw rather than a box since they look really nice stacked together. This month I received 5 products and a gift.

First up is The Genuine Lapland Cream by Polaar which is an antioxidant-rich lotion that is packed with vitamins such as raspberries, cloudberries and lingonberries to nourish, protect and pamper the skin. This can be used all over the face and body or over any dry bits you have. This cream is suitable for sensitive skin and is paraben and mineral oil free. It is a 25ml size which is quite decent and does not have a strong scent - I will most likely be using this as a hand cream. The full 50ml size retails for £15.

Next is the Foundation Primer - BlemishLess by Laura Mercier. I was soo happy to see this in the box, I love the Laura Mercier Foundation Primers since it is a water-based gel formula which  hydrates my skin and keeps my makeup on all day. The Blemish-Less formula is to control shine and I am excited to use this since I have oily skin. This is a 15ml size and the full size retails for £29.

Lastly in the group photograph is the Highlighting Trio by Model Co. I have dabbled with Model Co a few times and you had the option this month to choose the cream blush or the cream highlighter. I wasn't a fan of the blush since it is too bright and I can never seem to get cream blushers right.

The Highlighting Trio consists of 3 shades; Champagne, Peach Bellini and Bronze. These are creamy and easy to blend. I've yet to try these on my actual face but Champagne is a white colour which I don't think will suit me. I like Peach Bellini and Bronze the most but I will have to experiment with these.  This is the full-size version which retails for £17.

In this group, you have the Prodigieux Shower Oil by Nuxe, which is a scented shower oil that contains a blend of orange blossom, magnolia and vanilla.  It claims to gently cleanse your skin and leaves a satin finish. The shower oil also contains sweet almond out and golden shimmer that leaves your skin looking radiant. Personally, I am not a shower person and I am also a bit scared that this will make me look like a disco ball. I really like the Nuxe products so I will try this out and see how it works. This is a 30 ml size and the full 200ml size retails for £10.

The other item is a Stylish Oomph My Locks XXL Volume Spray by Batiste. I love the Batiste range especially their dry shampoos which I also use as a texturizing spray. This volume spray is infused with keratin and Inca inchi oil and claims to add volume in a single spritz and helps combat humidity - I'm sure I am going to love this. This is a 50 ml size which is great to pop into your bag. The full size of 200ml is £4.29.

Last of all last the item I am mentioning is a gift sent by Birchbox for all those who has referred a friend. This is a really cute gold bracelet with the words 'Imagine' engraved on the centre. It has a ribbon and bead as a clasp  and I think this is very dainty and beautiful!. Thank-you to all those who have used my referral link. You can still get a bracelet from Birchbox if you sign up using my referral link here by October in your October Birchbox worth £15.

Overall I love the whole box this month, there is nothing that I won't experiment with. I am most excited bu the Foundation Primer - BlemishLess by Laura Mercier and Stylish Oomph My Locks XXL Volume Spray by Batiste that I will definitely use. I hope you enjoyed your Birchbox this month too!
