OCTOBER BIRCHBOX

This month's Birchbox is based on you astrological elements; Earth, Air, Fire and Water with 4 different designs. Birchbox is a monthly subscription with beauty items tailored to you for £12.99 a month. There are 6 products in this month's edition.

The box has come in a draw like storage, which I much prefer over the standard boxes since it's creating a nice stack of colours in the corner of my room. My star sign is Aries, therefore, my astrological element is Fire. The colour of the is a vibrant rusty orange which looks amazing against my autumnal Instagram theme right now.

The first three products are the Doux Me - Pure Spring MistOribe Dry Texturizing Spray and Rituals - The Ritual Of Sakura Magic Touch Body Cream.

Doux Me - Pure Spring Mist is mineral rich spring water within a bottle that is used to refresh and moistures your face and body. The bottle reminds me of a hairspray can and also sprays like a hairspray bottle so you have an even application across your face. It has no scent and is very refreshing it will be great for when you go on holidays or a long car journey.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray. I have heard of Oribe everywhere before everyone jumped onto the Ouai hype. I am very excited to try this out, I'm not much of a texturizing spray user but this is part dry shampoo and part texturizer that lifts your roots.

Rituals - The Ritual Of Sakura Magic Touch Body Cream. I'm trying to moisturise my skin daily with body creams since the weather is becoming a lot dryer so this has come in handy. The scent I have is the Organic Rice Milk & Cherry Blossom. The scent is quite strong but it's they type of cream that you can smell all day on your skin. It's very lightweight and sinks immediately into the skin. I'm quite excited to use this and it is a very decent sample size of 70 ml.

The next three products are the Number 4 - Fluoro5 Elixer Restore & Repair Oil, Lord & Berry - 20100 Maxi Matte Crayon Lipstick in Intimacy and Birchbox's Eyebrow Brush.

I have received the Number 4 brand before and I do like their shampoo and conditioner. This time, I have the Fluoro5 Elixer Restore & Repair Oil which is a hair oil that adds shine and restores dull hair.

The Lord & Berry - 20100 Maxi Matte Crayon Lipstick in Intimacy is a full-size product. It is creamy to apply and is pigmented. It, however, is a wooden lip pencil, therefore, there is a strong wooden scent. I would describe this as a rosy lip crayon with purple undertones. This does not look good on me at all but it does swatch beautifully, I might just use this as a lipliner and apply other lip products on top.

Lastly, in the box, I have the Birchbox Eyebrow Brush. Does anybody actually use this as an eyebrow brush? If I do use it it would be to separate clumpy mascara on my eyelashes. I much prefer a 'spooly' to run across my eyebrows

Overall I really enjoyed opening this box, you can tell by the pressure of using the scissors of opening the cardboard box since it has made a mark on the 'Fire' bit. I love exploring new brands and I can't wait to use the hair and body items from this month's Birchbox.
