TED BAKER PERFECTLY POLISHED NAIL POLISH GIFT SET REVIEW

Today I'm sharing one of my most loved nail polish set, I received this as my Christmas present and ever since I have opened this I have not worn any other brand or colour. The Ted Baker Perfectly Polished contains four 9ml (average size) shades. I know this is a bit late but if you've walked past the Ted Baker beauty gifts set this Christmas and wondered about the quality and if it actually does what it says read on.

PACKAGING

These nail polishes come in the most beautiful packaging that I have seen on any nail polish gift set. Before you slip off the sleeve to get into the box you can see the intricate floral designs on the outer edges and sides of the box, a beautiful rose gold bow on the top of the lid and when the sleeve is removed you see a 'T' with the classic Ted Baker print. The overall packaging is a hard wearing cardboard and all in all the packaging itself gets a 10/10 and I will be keeping the packaging since it's such a lovely prop. The nail polishes itself is in a simple sleek transparent bottle with a white lid with a rose gold top on the surface and there 'T' logo. It does however not have any names which are the only con.

SHADES

There are 4 shades in the set suitable for any dress code. The lightest shade looks peachy in the bottle but on the nails, it almost looks clear - with this shade it reminds me of a french manicure and can be used as a base coat. The second shade is a pastel pink - nothing I would usually go for but this very girly and I may wear it in the summer - it also looks a bit brighter on my yellow skin tone. The third shade is a lilac grey - this is my favourite shade out of the set and is my most worn colour. it changes colour in different lightening and looks so sleek. The last shade is a metallic bronze and is definitely something special and eye-catching - if you have special events are feeling adventurous this would be something I would wear and when I have shorter nails.

FORMULA

These nail polishes have a perfect consistency and are not too liquidy nor too thick. I use 2 coats to achieve a fully opaque colour with the peachy nude, pastel pink and the lilac grey but 1 coat with the metallic bronze shade since it is slightly thicker in a formula,  I do however recommend using 2 coats for all of them for an even application. I do not use a base coat or top coat with these since it is not needed. The brush is not too thin and I can fully coat my nails in 3 swipes. What I love about these is how long these stay on my nails without chipping. These nail polish can last up to one week without and usually nail polish only lasts on my nails for 3 days max so these are perfect. They don't take too long to dry and they smell the same as other nail polishes.

VERDICT

Overall I think these are fantastic and is a perfect gift for anyone who loves doing their nails - they are affordable especially as it is s a 3 for 2 offer in Boots. If Ted Baker has a permanent beauty line I will not overlook it and definitely try more out of their beauty range. I do have another Ted Baker body gift set which I haven't touched yet so that may be a review for next time. If you had second thoughts about their nail polish - give them a go!

I hope you've enjoyed this review and found it helpful!
