FIRST IMPRESSIONS | HERA UV MIST CUSHION REVIEW

Cushion foundations are such an easy way to quickly 'tap' your base on. Today I have the Hera UV Mist Cushion to review. Hera is a Korean skincare, makeup and fragrance brand. I have the shade 23 Beige.

This cushion foundation contains essence to hydrate your skin for a plump and smooth finish. It contains SPF of 34/PA++ and provides a natural dewy finish. Packaging wise, the shell has a light lilac tone and sports a white lid. The overall cushion compact is sturdy but can also be bulky in width. It sports a decent sized mirror and like all cushion, compact comes with a puff and a separator to prevent spillages and to store the applicator. The cushion sponge is simplistic with no design or motifs on.
I really like the design with its smooth exterior. I am not a person that carries my base around so the bulky width does not affect me. The sponge puff is very soft and does what it needs to and almost provides a cooling effect when applied to the skin. The shade range is not big with only 6 shades and I am 23 Beige which is the second darkest. The colour although it matches my neck I found it a little bit dull and a tiny bit on the orange side.

Finish wise this is definitely light coverage and does indeed provide you with a very dewy glow. On the areas where I did have scars and pigmentation, it did show through the base. I did set powder on areas of the face where I have applied concealer.

Throughout the day I was indeed dewy and very quickly it the cushion foundation collated around the crevice of my nose which is my problem area for most foundations.  I did apply powder on mainly my t-zone area which I am the oiliest, these were the problem areas that became dry and patchy with wear. From a distance, my skin looked dewy and healthy but up close it really blocked up on my pores and enhanced lines on my face that I didn't know was there.

Overall this cushion compact is not for me. I like the convenience and the packaging,  I really do want to try this foundation out again without powdering but the foundation broke out my skin. That being on my forehead, temple area, jawline and cheek. So I am going to give this one a miss and move onto another cushion foundation. If you want to see how it performs head over to my Instagram highlights!

Have you tried this cushion?

Until next time!
