MAKEUP COLLECTION AND STORAGE

A long-awaited post: my makeup storage. Prior to moving to Hong Kong I filtered and decluttered my makeup keeping items that I do actually use. This is my current set up. I won't go into too much detail about the products but how I separate and keep them organised.

TOP SHELF

This is the place for products that can be easily reached. I have a touch lamp, perfume (Gucci Bloom) which smells amazing, SPF for the body, The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution which I have dispensed into another bottle, Sudocrem, Mario Badescu Facial Spray, RCMA No Colour powder - as this doesn't sit in my draws, Protocol Toning Mist which I just received, two acrylic tubs one with stationary and the other makeup brushes.

There is a little trinket dish which I picked up from Wilko with an L'oreal Brow Pomade that does not fit into my acrylic draws, a sample of UMA facial oil, colourpop loose highlighter, travel size perfume spray bottle and lastly a trinket box which I put memory cards in and receipts with my jewellery sitting on top. Beside my brushes I have my light up mirror which is perfect since it's getting darker earlier.

ACRYLIC DRAWS

I store most smaller items in these acrylic draws from Muji, it has 5 draws which I separated into categories. I have two sets of these on my table.

1st draw: Bullet lipsticks - I like to arrange these by brands and then colour. I have a selection of Charlotte Tilbury, Mac, Dior, Gorgio Armani, Sephora, Guerlain, Kiko, Revolution, Canmake and Ciate London.

2nd draw: Liquid lips, pencil lipsticks and liners: Most liquid lipsticks are by colourpop, separated into the formula: gloss, satin and matte. I have a selection of Colourpop Lippie stick which I keep together followed by Nars Lip Pencils, then a range of different branded lip pencils.

3rd draw: Base and Colourpop: I keep powders and bronzers mainly in this draw along with Colourpop Super Shock Shadows and Cheek.

4th draw: Concealers and mascaras: I have a few concealers in here mainly being from Ardere cosmetics along with some backups. I also have The Saem Pro Tip Concealer and Maybelline's Eraser Eye. For Mascara's, I decluttered a few but I do have the L'oreal Lash Paradise with a few backups since it's not available in HK, Essence Cosmetics mascaras and Majolica Majorca Lash expander mascara.

5th draw: Eyeliners and brow products: Dividing the draws in half, I keep eyeliners: liquid and pencil on one area and brow products such as pomades, gels on the other.

On the second set of acrylic draws:

1st draw: Blushers - For someone who doesn't wear that much blush I do have a lot. I have Milani, Protocol, Becca Cosmetics, Kiko in this draw.

2nd draw: More blush: I have two palettes: Zoeva and Jouer. A selection of cream blushers mainly protocol and Glossier and Lilah B. I also store my hourglass blush in here as it is a bit bulky.

3rd draw: Highlighters: One of my favourites draws. I have some cult favourites and a mix of a few different brands: TheBalm, Sleek, Mac, Wet n Wild, Hourglass, Jouer and Becca Cosmetics.

4th draw: Medical: I keep a lot my blemish helping products in here along with mouth-numbing cream, nasal stick, eyelid tape, floss and dry eye masks.

5th draw: Hair accessories and other: This drawer contains my bank keypad, brow scissors, facial hair epilator, nail boards and clippers and hairpins and bobbles.

In my desk drawer, I keep skincare, foundations, palettes and makeup brushes, stored with Glossy box and Birchbox boxes that I had and brung to HK.

Skincare: In an 'L' shape, I store these around the boxes I have placed inside my draw, with the top corner having toners, followed by serums and creams around the edge.

Foundations are kept together organised by the finish, I also stack my bb cushions up beside it along with a BB cream and any backups that I have.

In front of my foundations, I have mainly primers. I have Cover FX, Laura Mercier, Milani, Smashbox, Benefit, Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer. Heated lash tools, lash serum so it's close to my skincare and cream contour from Ardere.

The middle section consists of palettes: towards the side, I have the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow, Coloupop palette with blushers that I have depotted, Becca face palette and Hourglass Ambient lighting palette. Besides that, I have square shaped eyeshadow palettes that being from Colourpop, Shaaanxo and Ardere.

In front, I have more eyeshadow palettes. I keep the ABH back it's in the original sleeve as it gets dirty, my stack of colourpop shadows, marc jacobs, Huda, Zoeva and dose of colours. I keep my back up a mineral foundation in here too.

On the accessories side, I keep mainly face products together that being the Nivea Shave Balm, more SPF, a small selection of travel sized products, lashes and body tape.

In front a selection of skincare that I don't reach for or yet to try, some makeup brushes and of course dirty beauty blenders with brush cleanser. In the front corner, I keep cotton buds, face and eye masks that are easy to reach for.

That is all for my makeup storage. How do you store your makeup?

Hope you enjoyed this post
