The Primark Primer Water (review here) is a long lost holy grail that I can't purchase in HK, searching for the next best thing I came across the Revolution Pro Primer Water that has promising claims. Primer water preps the skin for makeup and with the ease of a spray bottle giving a quick application. The primer is enriched with multivitamins to hydrate and has anti-inflammatory and soothing benefits. It is vegan friendly and cruelty-free.
The packaging is simplistic, I am impressed with the spray nozzle as it doesn't spit at you and gives a nice fine mist. The primer smells of coconuts and if you are sensitive to scents you might find this a little overwhelming. Application wise it works well with my foundations, it gives a slightly tacky feeling which is good for adhering makeup.
Overall the primer is easy to use and gives a thorough even spray. The coconut scent is a little overwhelming and you can smell it on your clothing. One of the things I noticed is I get tiny red bumps along my cheeks so I believe it's a reaction. I open the bottle and the liquid is tinted yellow but I'm not sure if it's supposed to that way. I liked this primer but my skin didn't.
What primers have you been trying?

Honestly I stop using primer for months ...for no reasons really ...but this post make me want to go back into it. Also I do like very much all Revolution products and they are rather affordable too which is a bonus of course.

That's so great to hear! I really want to try that brand x
DeleteI love using a primer spray to add some extra moisture to my skin, but I definitely need an additional primer to make sure my makeup lasts all day x
ReplyDeleteThis sure does that x
DeleteAhh it is a shame you had some sort of reaction to this. I do keep on seeing Revolution products around but I still haven't tried many. I know they have delved into skincare this year too.

My skin is just so sensitive! I now candles too x
DeleteAh it sucks you've had a reaction like this to this primer. Primer for me is so important in my own skincare regime and make up application. I am currently loving The Ordinary's primer, it's a real game changer!

DeleteIt's a shame this didn't work for you, I'm really into face mists lately but might avoid this one.

Yes right! Some products I love like their brow pomade x
DeleteI am so lazy with primers, so a spray would be ideal, but I am not a fan of coconut scents, so I think this would be a skip for me
ReplyDeleteSome scents are heavenly but this one was a little too much x
