Keep Cool Soothe Bamboo Sun Essence Review | Acne -Prone Skin

The SPF that is taking the beauty world by storm; The Keep Cool Soothe Bamboo Sun Essence. Boosting with bamboo water, hyaluronic acid and Centella extract, most importantly SPF 50. Marketed for even the most sensitive skin.

Containing UVA and UVB protection (UVA protection is for skin ageing and skin cancer and UVB is protection against sunburn), this SPF has antiaging benefits. Keep Cool has a 40% Bamboo water index and this SPF hydrates and soothes sensitive skin. It has the 'cool keeper complex' formulated with 3 natural antipyretics herbs to cool down skin temperature and alleviate inflammation and dryness.

The Cool Keeper Complex:
  • Forsythia fruit - reduce inflammation and relieve pain
  • Lonicerae Flos - clears heat, resolves toxicity, disperses wind-heat
  • Scutellaria Baicalensis - reduce inflammation, kills gram-positive bacteria.
The main ingredients:
  • Bamboo water - rich in amino acids and minerals, instantly hydrates and soothe sensitive skin
  • 3% B-Circadin - cares for broken biorhythms, sensitive skin and provides radiance
  • Centella Extract - soothes, heal and strengthen the skin barrier
  • 7 fold hyaluronic acid -deep penetration of moisture
Bambusa Vulgaris Water (401,800 ppm), Water, Diglycerin, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, 1,2-Hexanediol, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Niacinamide, Propanediol, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Behenyl Alcohol, Lespedeza Capitata Leaf/Stem Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Forsythia Suspensa Fruit Extract, Chamaecyparis Obtusa Leaf Extract, Thuja Orientalis Extract, Pinus Densiflora Extract, Bambusa Vulgaris Extract, Sodium Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Polyisobutene, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Silica, Butylene Glycol, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Sorbitan Oleate, Adenosine, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Potassium Hyaluronate

In an easy squeeze tube with a long nozzle, the SPF is perfect to pinpoint where you want to dispense the product. However, you won't be able to store this upright due to the nozzle.

There is no heavy scent and the gel formula does take a few seconds to work into your skin. But then gives your skin a lovely moisture barrier and a perfect base for makeup.

For acne-prone and sensitive skin, this is a must-try SPF. It's moisturising, there's no irritation near the eyes (very important for me as I have eczema), there's no white cast or that sticky feeling. It makes your makeup apply nicely too and can be applied ontop makeup during the day. I also haven't suffered from any breakouts or clogged pores so that is acne-prone skin approved.

At the end of the day I do get a little sheen on my skin (t-zone area) but in a healthy hydrated skin way and overall it makes me want to reach for this easy hydrating SPF daily.

Have you tried the Keep Cool Sooth Bambo Sun Essence yet?

  2. The consistency looks good for my skin type and tone. I have to have SPF in all of my skincare even in winter. This sounds really soothing!
