8 PRODUCTS I'VE INTRODUCED TO MY 10 STEP SKINCARE ROUNTINE

We all know that we need to swap between products in order for them to perform at its best since your skin can easily get used to the product and not make any changes. I've talked about my 10 Step Skincare Routine so go and have a read, therefore you won't get confused with all the steps and processes. I will be mentioning the products that I have swapped out so this post will not be huge. If I haven's swapped the product out it indicates that it's still doing my skin good and right now I can't live without it.

MISSHA TIME REVOLUTION ESSENCE LOTION | MISSHA TIME REVOLUTION NIGHT REPAIR SCIENCEACTIVATOR AMPOULE

Step 1 - Oil Cleanse

I am still using The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil.  It removes all my makeup and waterproof mascara gently. It has a 2 step process, first being the oil which you massages into your skin and then adding water to break down the oil creating a milky texture.

Step 2 - Hot Cloth Cleanse

The Superdrug's Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser is my favourite hot cloth cleanser I have tried so far. It removes any remaining makeup that the cleansing oil has missed and leaves my skin clean, moisturised and more radiant.

Step 3 - Exfoliate

Exfoliating helps get rid of dead skin cells, The The Body Shop Vitamin E Cream Exfoliator is a firm favourite of mine which is another hydrating product that is also gentle on the skin.

Step 4 - Toner

I've finished using the Superdrug's Vitamin E Refreshing Toner Mist and have moved back onto The Bodyshop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner. It's thicker in the texture and preps your skin for the next product.

Step 5- The Essence

The main changes start here. As you know I went to South Korea this year and picked up the Missha Time Revolution Essence Lotion which helps moisturise and tighten your pores. I swapped this from the B. Refreshed Essence Lotion that is easily available in the UK from Superdrug.

I've also picked up the Time Revolution Night Repair Science Activator Ampoule. This is new to me, the use of an Ampoule is that it provides extra nutrients that your skin needs and restores elasticity. The colour of this is a brown tinted gel liquid with a pipette applicator and I apply this only at night after the Missha Time Revolution Essence Lotion. This is possibly a step 6 but I will reupdate later through the year.

LIQ C SERUM LIGHT | LIQ CE SERUM NIGHT

Step 6 - The Serum

I am still using the B. Confident Blemish Serum in the daytime which helps oil control but I have introduced 2 other new serums to my routine. These serums are by a brand called LIQ C and I was kindly contacted by them to test out their products.

I have the LIQ CC Serum Light for day use which contains 15% Vitamin C, you have to be careful with this as it almost feels like an oil and if you have dry skin this is going to keep your skin moisturised all day. I used a full pipette of this and I was incredibly dewy all day, I now only use 3 drops - both cheeks and forehead.

The LIQ Ce Serum Night Mask is for night use, this is bi-phase serum so you have to shake it well. It contains 15% Vitamin E and the product comes out white. I only also use 3 drops of this since a full pipette as recommended is a bit too much for me. I have definitely seen results from using these two serums my skin, it is soo much smoother and softer.

Step 7 - Mask

I haven't changed much in my mask process, I still use a lot of sheet masks and my trusty Innisfree Volcanic Clay Mask  which I use on days that I have breakouts.

DR. ORGANIC ROYAL JELLY EYE SERUM | OLE HENRIKSEN TRUTH SERUM COLLAGEN BOOSTER | BENEFIT'S IT POTENT EYE CREAM

Step 8 - The Eye Cream

I finished the Loreal Paris Revitalift Filler Renew and it did not make any difference on my eye area and swapped to  Ole Henriksen Ultimate Lift Eye Creme for day time and Ole Henriksen Ultimate Lift Eye Creme for night use. I'm not too much of a fan of these since it creates a film around your eyes and starts to become flaky when you apply concealer on top. I felt like these did no improvement and have moved on the following products you see in the above photo.

The first is the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster - I have a whole review here on the product. I find that it has helped separate my deep line I have around my eye and is helping me get rid of my milia- which are blocked pores. I follow this up by the Dr Organic royal Jelly Eye Serum which helps hydrate, firm and regenerate. And lastly the Benefit It's Potent Eye Cream which I don't think does anything but moisturise for a little while.

OLE HENRIKSEN SHEER TRANSFORMATION

Step 9 - The Moisturiser

I am still using the Aime Naturally Kind Hydrating Daily Moisturiser as a makeup base and Origins Gingzing Energy Boosting Moisturiser. But I needed a something extra for my night time routine. I've started the Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation which is an anti-aging cream, it has a fluffy almost whipped texture and feels extremely light on the skin. It claims to reduce discolouration and smooth fine lines. It does a great job hydrating my skin but the scent reminds me of the little alien birth pod that used to play with as a kid.

Step 10 - SPF + Primer

My primer still hasn't changed and I have still been using the  Nivea Post Shave Balm and I've just bought my second bottle. I should really try something else but I love it!.

That is all for my skincare update, don't forget to check out my 10 Step Skincare Routine since I go into a lot more detail of the products. I hope you've enjoyed this post! And as always let me know if you have any amazing skincare products that you recommend.

Until next time!
Joyce
