CIATE LONDON X OLIVIA PALERMO: THE SMOULDERING EYE PALETTE REVIEW

The Smokey Suede Eye Palette from Ciate X Olivia Palermo is one of my most reached for eye palette and I am ecstatic to own The Smouldering Eye Palette now. I picked this up in T K Maxx and we all love it when we pay a fraction of the price especially when places are selling this at the original RRP.

The sleeve of the product is quite a contrast from The Smokey Suede Eye Palette. This has a white sleeve with gold detailing and a scale-like pattern with blue, red, purples and pink. The colour shades are also only printed onto the sleeve but I have kept my other from the Smokey Suedes. This has the exact same packaging as The Smokey Suede Eye Palette with a pebbled leather look finish, a gold trim and a wide mirror.

Onto the shades, there are 9 colours in the palette. The compact contains much cooler toned shadows with your greys, silvers and blues tones. The formula is exactly the same as The Smokey Suede Eye Palette with the same creamy and smooth consistency which makes it extremely easy to work with and it blends like a dream.

The first row of shades including the centre shade has a mix of cool-toned mattes and shimmers. Camo is Taupe bronze shade with golden shimmer, a perfect everyday brown for me. London is a grey colour with a matte formula, I like to use this as an outer crease colour. Pisces is a silver colour, one of your cooled toned shades, it has a silver shimmer and looks really good with Double Denim. Double Denim is an icy blue shade with shimmer, it almost looks metallic, I don't usually reach for this kind of colour but they look beautiful on the eyes. Bulter is a slightly cream/yellow shade which I use as an overall eyeshadow primer setting powder, it highlights the eye area really well and creates a nice base.

On the second row, it has an overall warmer selection. Amaretto is a beautiful brown, it has a slighter warmer undertone and is a matte formula. Mulberry is a smooth warm copper shade, it looks metallic and has no chunky glitter. Penny Jar is a cool toned brown with silver shimmer, you can only see the majority of the silver particles in the shade. Lastly Blondie, a perfect matte ash brown shade perfect as a transitional/crease colour.

Overall I love the palette, I haven't put this down since I've opened it. I love 8 shades out of the 9 which is perfect. I did pick this up for £12.99 compared to its original £35 so it's a bargain. If you've yet to try the Ciate eyeshadows they have my seal of approval. The compacts are very travel-friendly and compact and I take The Smokey Suedes Eye Palette every time I travel. I am sure I will have loads of uses for this one.

That is all for the post, don't forget to check out my review of The Smokey Suede Palette.
Until next time!

  3. This palette looks really good! It reminds me a bit of Christian Dior eye shadow quads. The color selection is super nice, too.
