My skin has been acting up these past few weeks since it's become a lot colder. I have more dry patches and flaky skin symptoms and there is only so much skincare I can apply before my makeup and I put a lot of skincare on if you know my
skincare routine. I'm sharing 4 products/items that help make my skin less dry when I apply makeup.
The
Mario Badescu Facial Spray is a firm favourite of mine since it is a spritz of hydration. It has a lovely rose's scent and can be used as a toner too. I sometimes use this in place of a toner before I use a face mask as it is quick, it's also cold when I spray it onto my face so it can be quite refreshing on the skin.
Beauty Blender can really help to create a flawless base, especially when damp. I sometimes use the Beauty Blender with the Mario Badescu Facial Spray since it helps with dry skin as it instantly hydrates and can be sprayed on before and after foundation and also to set concealer to help with dry under eyes.
Papaya Gold Paw Paw Moisturising Balm | I have slight eczema on the creases of my eyes and sometimes can be quite painful and cracked. I like using eyeshadow which means a lot of blending back and forth. I use the Pawpaw on the eyelids to hydrate the dry skin - it's very soothing and works better than coconut oil that I have tried before. I only use a little amount in the morning and more at night after I remove my makeup. You can apply paw paw on chapped lips too and any irritated skin.
Lastly, a face primer is very important to prep the skin. I love using the
Nivea Shave Balm to prolong my makeup but since my skin is dry the liquid texture can become cakey especially the intense movement to make the liquid become tacky. The
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer has a gel consistency which instantly absorbs into my skin and instantly hydrates. It is also the primer I reach for every winter and I only use a pea size amount.
That is all the products and items that I have been using recently to help my dry skin. If your skin changes drastically like mine in the winter let me know how you keep your skin hydrated.
Until next time!

I like the looks of Paw Paw! I have really been suffering from dry skin over the last couple of days, but hey! at least my acne is clearing up.

Id love to try out the paw paw products and I like the sound of that facial spray! I also like to use a beauty blender to create a flawless base, it helps with when I'm wearing my Chanel healthy glow fluid.

DeleteReally want to try out some of Mario Badescu, I see it in Debenhams (in the UK) now but it seems so much more expensive than the US. Great post, need to try Paw Paw products too, they seem to be in most people's winter favourites xxx
