EXPRESS YOURSELF FEBRUARY BIRCHBOX X PAPIER

It's been a hot minute since I have been posting, I took a break while my sister, niece and brother in law came to visit from Hong Kong and I went to London and Manchester with them. I didn't want to force myself into creating bad content and the need to be on social media constantly, I love blogging but I really needed that time off to bond with my family and I'm so happy that I did it. Today I'm returning with a good old Birchbox post.

Returning back to my Birchbox is definitely exciting. I love opening parcels, unfortunately, the postman decided to force my Birchbox through the letterbox and damaged the box which I am annoyed about since I've been collecting the draws for storage but Birchbox is sending me a replacement so you are going to be stuck with the damaged one now.

Enough with the rambling Birchbox is a subscription which cost's £12.99 a month including P+P based on your profile that you create, this months theme is called Express Yourself and is a collab with Papier. (Birchbox price details) The packaging is beautiful with leaf prints across the sleeve and is another pull out drawer box which I use as storage.

I received 5 products this month from body care to hair care products. The first item that caught my eye was the Spectrum Collections - Marbelous C06 Tulip Eye Contour Brush. We had a sneak peek last month so I knew I was expecting this. The Spectrum Collection brushes are amazing and I have two sets myself. Their Marbelous collection is truly Instagram-worthy and I feel like I need to own this collection now, they are cruelty-free, incredibly soft and easy to wash.

The next item is an eyeshadow palette from POP Beauty, a brand I have heard of but haven't personally come across in stores. The palette is called the Bright Up Your Life Trio in Champagne Mocha. I quite like the colour selection, the palest shade is a champagne colour and will look good to highlight, the middle shade is a rosy pink eyeshadow - not an eyeshadow I usually opt for but nevertheless the colour is pretty and contains shimmer. And the last is a dark brown with chunkier silver glitter, I think this palette is travel-friendly and is buttery smooth to apply but it does have a little kick up when you dip your brush into the shadow.

Next item is a body item, the Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream in Acai Grapefruit. This shave cream helps moisture your skin and contains shea butter and coconut oil. I've used the Whish brand before and their whipped body cream in almond is heavenly. I'm not a person who shaves since I wax so this won't be any good for me so I will pass this on to someone else.

A hair care products in from Beaver Professional, the Daily Moisture Conditioning Spray which helps to detangle and nourish damaged hair. I have very dry hair especially at my ends and it's always a pain to wash my hair since detangling is a nightmare and I often use leave in conditioner to help. I'm excited to use this and I love the Beaver Professional products that I tried in the past.

The last item that I almost missed is a Korean product from KEEOME, the Hydration Mask Therapy. This is a sheet mask which has a hydrating blend of vitamins and mulberry extracts. I love using sheet masks and because it's Korean it's even better - have you seen people in Korea? There's skin is absolutely flawless and they use sheet masks daily. I can't wait to use this!

Overall I'm really impressed with the selection that I have in this months box and can't wait to dig into the facemask. There is also a sneak peek for March which is the Benefit They're Real Double The Lip, so if you want to try that out you can subscribe here.

Thank you for catching up with me!

  1. I totally agree- sometimes a break from social media is needed. Producing no content is better than producing crappy content. It looks like this month's box was a hit! Those eyeshadows are so pretty!
