GOING THROUGH MY EMPTIES #1

Who else likes looking through other people's trash to have a little nosey? When it comes to end of any beauty product I'm always excited to try out other new skincare but I like to remind myself how I got on with these 'empties' because I may repurchase them in the future - more likely I will repurchase in the future if I managed to stick with it, so let's get into it.

Starting with skincare, I have been through so many bottles of The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil which is part of my vigorous cleansing routine, I like how gentle this is on my skin and how easily it breaks down my makeup. You apply this onto your dry skin first and massage it in, once you've done that step you wet your hands and further massage creating a milky texture that fully breaks down your makeup and then wash the residue away with a damp face towel. This easily removes any waterproof mascara, eyeliner and even matte liquid lipsticks which are difficult to remove.

A face cream that I have been using very sparingly and only when I need it is the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. Let me tell you this is pricey and do I want to repurchase this? Yes, It has a thick texture but it really helps hydrate and plump your skin - I mainly use this at night when my skin needs a lot of love and really makes a difference when I wake up in the morning and I am obsessed with the floral tea scent, not to mention the packaging makes every vanity look even better.

A Missha duo that I have been using since the summer is the Time Revolution Treatment Essence and Night Repair Ampoule. I purchased these in South Korea and it has been life changing for my skin, I find that the essence lotion helps lighten my hyperpigmentation, make my skin smoother and anything I apply onto my skin absorb better. The ampoule gives me the extra nutrients and hydration that I need and they are both thumbs up product. I really want to repurchase these but they are hard to get a hold of in the UK and that makes me want to cry.

Another cream that I have finished is the Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation. This has a lovely light fluffy texture and is the perfect night cream that is not heavy at all and simply does what it says, the scent did put me off at first but I kept constantly reaching for it and it has made my favourites so I will be picking this up in the future.

I'm always on the hunt for anything that can help with dry under eyes and help reduce my fine lines in that area. I got the Ole Henriksen Ultimate Lift Eye Gel in a set and decided to try it out, it creates a tacky texture that I find cakes up a little bit under my eyes and creates a barrier/film on top of your skin. This hasn't made any difference to my under eyes and I haven't actually finished using this as it has dried up.

I did a whole review on the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster and how it changed my skin but I think my skin has gotten used to the product and I haven't seen any drastic difference. This is moisturising for your under eyes and smells heavenly so I'm going to try out other serums for now.

I never ever go through body creams but it's been a very cold winter and for people like me who still likes to wear ripped jeans - you going to need all the moisturisation you can get. I mainly focus the L'Occitane Ultra Rich Body Cream on my legs and lower back and really work it into my skin to prevent the crocodile skin look. This hydrates my skin really well but it is quite thick and I don't think the huge tin is good for storage. Other than that I probably will repurchase in the future if I get through my other bottles of body cream.

Onto makeup, the foundation that I have been mostly reaching for is the L.A. Girl Pro.Coverage HD High Definition Long Wear Illuminating Foundation which has quite a long name, I've done a whole review on this and it comes to the end since I haven't stopped using it. This is a dewy foundation hence 'illuminating' but it's perfect for this winter weather. It's very affordable and has good buildable coverage. I have oily skin and I do get a little greasy on my t-zone but I just blot that away with blotting paper. I have to say the shade range is not very good and it's difficult to shade match but once you do, you will love it as much as I do.

I've finally finished using the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer, this is a great concealer for your under eyes but I now only use it yo conceal my eyebrows and cover my veiny eyelid area, it is a perfect colour and with a concealer brush it removes any mistakes that you make.I've got plenty of backups of this and will continue to repurchase this.

Another concealer empty is the Ardere Cosmetics Flawless Concealer in Shade 2. This is the perfect shade to brighten and conceal your under eye area, it has a semi-matte finish and does not dry up your undereye area. This is a full coverage concealer and it works amazing at covering my dark circles. the backup that I have bought is currently in use.

Lastly an eyeliner empty, the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner has come to its last legs and have lasted me quite a while. This is hands down my favourite eyeliner and the paintbrush-like tip creates the perfect winged liner that you can get. It's precise and very black and I can;t wait to get this back in my makeup bag.

Hope you've enjoyed this post. Until next time!
