FEBRUARY FAVOURITES

February has gone by so fast and we are 3 months into the year! I've done a bit of travelling this month being away in London and Manchester and it's seriously had an effect on my skin which I will update you later since I've been using some new skin products to combat that. Onto the makeup, I've had some rediscoveries and have been playing around with new products.

Starting with eye shadows I have been loving the limited edition Morphe Brushes 25B Bronzed Mocha Palette this has a great selection of browns, reds and pinks in 3 different formulas; matte, shimmer and metallic. I love the matte burnt red shade in the palette and it looks beautiful an all over lid colour, I've done a whole review on the 25A - Copper Spice and 25B Bronzed Mocha palette, so don't forget to check it out for all the beautiful swatches.

A mascara favourite this month is the Innisfree Waterproof Skinny Mascara, I've had this in my collection for a while but never really started to use it until one of my other mascaras started running out. This seriously has the smallest wand ever and remind me of the Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara. The mascara is ideal for your bottom lashes and with the formulae being waterproof it does not transfer and has small fibres that lengthen my lashes.

I've run out of the NYX HD Blush in Taupe which I use as a contour powder so I've replaced it with the Benefit Cosmetics Hoola which is technically a bronzer, it's slightly on the warm side but blends beautifully on the skin. This helps accentuate my cheekbones, blends well with my other bronzer sand powders so I have been loving it so far.

Favourite lip product this month is MAC Whirl Lipstick. I've done a whole review of this here and it's the perfect mauve brown that suits any skin tone. It looks different on me depending on what blush or eye look I have that day therefore sometimes more purple and sometimes more brown. The formulas are matte but are not super drying on the lips and last a long time on my lips.

I've rediscovered theBalm Mary Lou-manizer which is a cult item in many people's makeup bag since I have been opting for a more golden highlight, this fits the bill perfectly and looks amazing on the face. It's easy to get carried away since its finely milled but it stays on my skin well. I have dropped mine so be careful since it shatters really easily.

I've never been much of a blush person but I have been loving the H&M Powder Blush in Deep Brown. H&M Beauty is seriously underrated, their single eyeshadows and Powder Blushes are amazing. Deep Brown is more of a mauve-rose colour and it looks amazing on the skin, it blends easily, looks smooth and is very pigmented. You do need to go light handed with this and it adds the perfect pop of colours on my cheeks.

That is all my favourites for this month, I hope you've enjoyed this post and are excited about easter! I currently have a giveaway running on my last post so don't forget to check it out.

Until next time!

  5. I really want to buy the Mary Lou-manizer but it's just so expressive for highlighter and way out of my budget!

    1. Yeah it is pricey to start off with but sometimes ASOS and Lookfantastic does 20% off which might help. I bought mine from Birchbox from my points that I collected x

  7. I would have never thought to go to H&M for makeup, but your swatch looks gorgeous! Definitely will have to try it in the future sometime.
