8 PRODUCTS FOR SUMMER SKIN/GLOW

Who doesn't want that lovely summer glow? And to be honest we are all thinking of ways to prevent our makeup from melting off in this heat. I find less is sometimes more and these are 8 simple products I use to achieve that.

The most important product you need is Sunscreen, I am so obsessed with SPF, the one I'm using is from Frezyderm which I have talked about in the past. It is Factor 50 and has a UV rating of 5 stars. This is a silicone based sunscreen and leaves your skin matte which is perfect to apply before foundation. I have not had any breakouts with this which is fantastic.

I'm all for full coverage foundation but sometimes I do like to go lighter, I have been loving The Ordinary Coverage foundation, this is a good buildable medium coverage and has a nice satin finish that lets your skin come through. My shade is 1.2Y which has a yellow undertone, it is a really good match for me and I've been using a flat top buffer brush to apply this onto my skin. If you love your beauty blender it works beautifully too.

I do have a few blemishes from pigmentation and scarring and a concealer is perfect to cover them up. I have been reaching for The Saem pro tip concealer which is a Korean product that I picked up from yes style. This concealer is medium to full coverage, and I love to apply this under my eyes since it helps brighten my complexion up. I  use the same buffer brush that I used to apply my foundation and buff this on and whatever I have left I dab onto my forehead, nose bridge and chin. Also, did I mention this concealer is super affordable at £3.40!

To set the skin I normally go with my RCMA no colour powder but on minimal days I like to use the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in the shade translucent. It a pressed powder and is easy to dab your brush in and set your makeup.

Now I don't have any brows or shall I say I have a lack of brow hairs and I rely on a good brow pencil to save me. I still love the Colourpop precision brow pencil and it can give you a very natural or a very bold brow depending how much product you apply. It's a shame that this is hard to get hold of and I'm on my back up. Also, the spoolie on this is one of the best I've used to blend out my brow product.

I have an oval face so naturally, I need to bring out those shadows with bronzer and highlight. I have been using the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar bronze and glow. This is such a nice product, the bronzer really adds colour back into my complexion and then highlight for that extra summer glow and I go heavy so people can see it a mile away.

I've never been the person to skip eyeliner or Eyeshadow but I've been having some issues with my eyelids. It's that time again when I get sensitive eyelids and my skin becomes dry and flaky. I have been using the Papaya Gold Paw Paw Moisturising Balm which really helps soothe my skin, I use this on my lips too since it moisturising and has no scent. On my eyelids, it just looks like I rocking the shiny eyelid look. Win-win.

For lashes, I have been using the Rapidlash for quite a while now and my lashes frame my eyes really nicely, it's longer and thicker but I still need mascaras. I have been using the Loreal Lash Paradise mascaras since it makes my lashes so fluffy and volumised. I'm going to pick up the waterproof version next.

That's is it for all the product details, I have a boomerang of this on my Instagram highlights under Makeup so don't forget to check that out. Hope you are all not melting!

Until next time!

  1. I rely so much on the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder to keep my makeup in place. It does a great job.
