Everyday summer makeup

Summer has meant more glowy and natural makeup, skipping eyeshadow and focused on all the highlight and skin. These are the products I have been reaching for recently to achieve that 'natural' glow.

Foundation & Concealer
Sticking with a matte foundation as I have oily skin, the NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop Foundation in Vanilla provides the perfect matte coverage that is easy to blend and build with. I use one pump on the outer areas of my face and blend with a beauty blender. The L'Oreal More Than Concealer is a full coverage concealer that covers all blemishes and dark circles, I apply this mainly on my under eye area and a little on my forehead and chin and again blend with a beauty blender. For more coverage under the eyes, I apply a little dot since a little goes a long way. Something you have to bear in mind this concealer smells like paint.

Setting powders & Bronzer
To set where I have applied concealer I use the RCMA No Colour Powder which is a staple product in my collection, I do not 'bake' but apply the powder with my beauty blender. To slightly contour and to add more coverage I use the Pro-tocol Baked Mineral Foundation in Dover* on the top area of my forehead and cheek area where you normally contour. Benefit's Hoola and Hourglass Cosmetics Ambient Lighting Powder in Bronze Light are my go-to products to contour and bring some warmth back into my face.

Blush & Highlight
Reaching for a more summery colour, the Becca Cosmetics Skin Shimmering Perfector in Rose Gold provides a pink glow to the top of your cheeks, it applies super smooth and lasts all day. To highlight my go-to is from Mac Cosmetics, the Extra Dimension Skin Finish in Oh, Darling! I apply this to the high points of my face focusing on the cheekbones. This is such a blinding highlight.

Brows
Since my brows have been much softer since using a brow oil in the evening, I have been reaching for the Benefit Gimme Brow first and slightly brush this through, it adds colour and helps set my brows in place. Using the Blink Brow Bar Brush (which is amazing to create hair-like strokes) with my never-ending Freedom Brow Pomade, I fill in the sparse areas of my brows.

Lashes & Liner
I have a lash routine here but I first curl my lashes with an eyelash curler and apply the first layer of L'Oreal Lash Paradise in Waterproof after that is all set I go in with a heated eyelash curler which lifts up my lashes, once that cools down I apply the second last layer for super voluminous and fluttery lashes. Since I skip eyeshadow I like to tighline my eyes with the Colourpop Cosmetics Gel Eyeliner in Mr Bing which is a warm brown colour and using an angled brush to create a soft wing to make my eyes bigger and brighter.

Lips
My most reached for lipstick is PillowTalk from Charlotte Tilbury, it has a matte finish which is super creamy and is a beautiful everyday pink colour. If I were to opt for a gloss it would be Champagne Mami from Colourpop Cosmetics which has a rosy tone and a lot of small shimmers, it makes my lips really pop and plump.

Setting Spray
To set all that hard work, I make sure my mascara is completely dry before setting my face with the Mario Badescu Aloe Water and Rosewater Facial Spray that helps prolong your makeup and removes that powdery look, it does not leave your face matte which is perfect for the summer weather.

Hope you enjoyed this post, what are your staple product for summer?

Until next time!
