THE CHRISTMAS PARTY FACE/PRODUCTS

Last Saturday was a wild night for me - not often that I say that but I had my work Christmas do and this is when I scrub up and master all those undereye baking skills and eyeshadow blending skills that I watch from YouTube. I'm that type of girl that if you give me 2 hours to get ready I can use up that time and still be late. But here are all the products that I used on my face.

Normally with my everyday makeup, I start with my base but I needed to put an eye mask on my undereye area since it's really dry recently, therefore, I started with my eyes first. I used the Urban Decay Primer Potion as a base and set it with the centre shade from the Ciate X Olivia Palermo Smokey Suede Eye Palette - it is a beautiful matte bone colour (Butler) which will help with the blending of the shadows. For my transitional shade, I picked up the light beige (Woopie Pie) shade from Ciate X Olivia Palermo Smokey Suede Eye Palette and blended that out.

The star of the show had to be Colourpop Super Shock Shadow called Mittens which are a matte brown with a warm undertone, I use this on my crease and build the colour up with a tapered blending brush. I then applied the rose gold colour (Glazed) from the Ciate X Olivia Palermo Smokey Suede Eye Palette on my crease area and packed Colourpop Cricket on top - it is a beautiful plum shade and has glitter particles.

I went ahead and curled my eyelashes with the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler and applied my first mascara using the Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara in Black on my top and bottom lashes. I went ahead and did my base (next part) and finished the last steps of my eyes.

I use a little Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer to clean up around the eye area and create a baseline for my liner, I then drew in my winged liner with the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner and filled in my top inner water line with the Lollipops Long Lasting Eye Pencil. I re-curled my lashes with the Eylure Heated Eyelash Curler and applied the Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara. To finish off the eyes, I applied CP Mittens on the outer bottom lashes and Cricket on the outer half of the bottom lashes. To highlight my inner corners I used the Colourpop Super Shock Cheek in Candyman.

Face primer I used was the Nivea Men Sensitive Shave Balm as it makes my foundation last longer. For foundation, I used the EX1 Invisiwear Liquid Foundation as it medium to full coverage using a beauty blender to tap the product in, I applied more product on areas I needed more coverage. After my foundation, I always fill in my brows using the Ardere Cosmetics Brow Fibre in Light which mimics hair naturally and I perfect my brow shape with the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer and a concealer brush.

Next is concealer, for blemishes such as scars and redness, I used the Ardere Cosmetics Flawless Concealer in Shade 3, to conceal and brighten my under eyes I used the Ardere Cosmetics Flawless Concealer in Shade 2 and blended it out with a beauty blender.

It's not often I use cream contour but this was definitely a time to ramp up my contour game. I used the Ardere Cosmetics Sculpt Pot in dark and blended out with my beauty blender. To set my undereye concealer and foundation/base I used RCMA No Colour Powder which I also used to 'bake'. For powder contour I use the NYX HD Blush in Taupe which has an ash tone that creates shadow, to bronze I used the Ciate X Olivia Palermo The Cheekbone Cheat Duo in Bluff Point, to illuminate the face I used the Milani Illuminating Powder in Amber Nectar.  And for blush, I used Amaretto from the Jaclyn Hill X Becca Palette which is a beautiful mauve shade, for highlight I mixed prosecco pop and champagne pop together also from the Jaclyn Hill Palette

To set all my hard work I used the Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day Setting Spray in Peach which smells heavenly. For lips, I used the Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Calypso which is a mauve pink and looks matte on the lips but feels very comfortable and easy to reapply.

That is all for my Christmas Party products, as you can see I use a range of product to make my face look a bit slimmer, my eyes more sparkly and always pray my makeup does not melt off and my lipstick not to smear haha. This is what my face looked like last Saturday on Instagram.

I hope you've enjoyed this post!
Until next time!
