WEEK IN LIPSTICKS #2

Happy New Year, it's the first post of 2017 and I am enjoying these chill days where I can just shop, blog and eat, it's going to be back to reality very soon so I hope you've had a great ending to2016 and can't wait to start 2017. Being in the Christmas and New Year spirit I have been opting for deeper red and burgundy tones as my lip choice. I have very much enjoying rocking these tones and it allows me to dip back into my lipstick collection and fall in love with my forgotten favourites.

The very first combo in Week in Lipsticks is the Maybelline Sensational Lipstick in Divine Wine paired with the Etude House Auto Lipliner. Divine Wine is a beautiful blood red colour and has a creamy and matte finish, this is very comfortable to wear all day and does not need to be reapplied but it does transfer when you eat. The Etude House Auto Lipliner is in shade #04 a deep burgundy colour, great for lining your lips for a precise application, this is the lipliner I always opt for when I am to wear a dark lip and they have more colours in the collection not to mention it's affordability.

More of an everyday choice for non-bold wearers is Mac Mocha. This is a brown nudish colour on me with a hint of peach, this is a satin finish and sits comfortably on the lips when I don't have time to apply a precise dark lip this would be my go-to.

Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in 1995 has been mentioned countless of times on here and I still love it, this is one of those colours that I don't think I would get sick off. It is a brown with a hint of a red undertone. It is really comfortable to wear on the lips and is one of my favourite liquid lipstick formula.

Lastly, I have been loving ColourPop's Ultra Satin Lip in Baracuda. If you have seen my huge Colourpop haul, you know that I went a little crazy and bought all the colours in that finish. The Ultra Satin Lip dries to an almost matte finish and is extremely comfortable to wear on the lips just like the Gerard Cosmetics one. Baracuda is a beautiful dark deep rose almost burgundy shade and stays on all day without reapplying.

That is all for this post! Hope you've had a wonderful day!
Until next time!

  5. Oh my goodness I actually have the shade barracuda and I wear it all the time! Definitely one of my favorites! I love all of the other colors though too-- especially the way mocha is tinted.
